COOKIE CLUB: TUESDAY AND THURSDAY @ lunch, this week.

REMINDER: ALL CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS – BUS IS LEAVING tomorrow for Islands meet - 11:45 a.m. On Wednesday morning. Please meet in front of the school.

ATTENTION ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: November Vancouver Trip consent forms now available in International office. Deadlne November 7, or until buses are full!

B-Block Teachers & Classes! Please come down any time this week during B-block to check out a book, magazine, newspaper, e-reader, or get help downloading books & things to read on Smartphone! Make sure everyone in B-Block can"DROP EVERYTHING AND READ"for 20 minutes next Monday, Oct 28th!

All those students interested in going on a half day tour of UVic's Engineering facility – Parkland will try to reschedule for the spring tour, as fall is already full. Please see Mr. Choo if you are interested in being on the list.

Support PUMPKINS ON THE PIER: drop off new unwrapped toys at Mary Winspear Centre, this week.  On Saturday, October 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. -Halloween Contests; Open Stage for youth musicians. Costumed children trick or treat through downtown Sidney; endswith pumpkin parade.

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:

TODAY – TUESDAY OCTOBER 22 – SENIOR BOYS SOCCER players please meet in the gym right after school today to prepare for the final game of the season. Game starts at 3:45 p.m., so come out and cheer our team on!

TOMORROW WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 23 – all girls interested in playing BASKETBALL – FIRST TRYOUT for JUNIOR & SENIOR GIRLS – Everyone welcome, 5 to 7 p.m., GYM.

JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL : next OPEN GYMS THIS WEEK:THURSDAY OCT 24 – 6:45 a.m.; FRIDAY OCT 25 @ 1:45 p.m.

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL: next OPEN GYM, 7 P.M. THURSDAY Oct 24.

Congratulations to Kaleb’s team who won the Tier II intramural volleyball championships in a close 3 set tie-breaker over Godwin’s team in the final.

TODAY TUES Oct 22 – Tier 1 Gold Medal final – Teachers vs Caelen MacEwan's team
WEDNESDAY October 23 – Open Gym BASKETBALL – MUST HAVE GYM STRIP!
THURSDAY October 24 – Open gym BADMINTON – must have gym strip!

PARKLAND ROWING had a very successful regatta this past weekend at Elk Lake. Many crews placed extremely well in their heats!  Notable finishes: Matt & Mikkel – 2nd  in JR Men's double, & the same duo finishing 3rd in the JR Men's Quad with the help of Josh & Cooper. Other wins : Erin, Kyra, Ocean, & Vanessa 2nd in SR Women's quad, & our Advanced Women's 8 winning 3rd place!  Congratulations to all Parkland rowers!
