Horatio Alger Jim Pattison B.C. Scholarship: $5000 for those starting at post secondary institutions no later than fall 2014. Applicant must have demonstrated integrity, perseverance overcoming adversity, with critical financial need, & minimum grade percentage of 65%. Deadline: Dec 1st, 2013. Twenty $70 000 TD Scholarships for Community Leadership available to students with exceptional initiative in making a meaningful & lasting difference in their community. Deadline is December 6, 2013. See Mr. Choo for details.

ROYAL COMMONWEALTH SOCIETY ESSAY COMPETITION is now open. Strict entry  guidelines, see front office window for rules & regulations, including word restriction & essay topics. Prizes up to $500. Deadline for entries: Friday, January 31, 2014.

NOTICE TO ALL GRADS re: Grad Winter Dance.
1. Any students taking a required course with SIDES must show that they have completed two assignments by this Friday, NOVEMBER 15, in order to purchase and receive tickets from Mrs. Wigbers at the front office.
2. A new list of students who need to show online documentation of their progress is currently posted outside Mr. Choo's office.
3. Mr. Choo will be available in computer lab room #202 today Wednesday November 13 at lunch, until 12:30, for students to log on and show their progress.

GRAD 2014 BOTTLE DRIVE: Saturday Nov 16, 2013 - 10 a.m. To 2 p.m. - student parking lot. Deposit bottles at Parkland, or place in driveways for pick-up in: Sidney, Deep Cove, & Dean Park. Volunteers: please contact Madison through school office.

ROYAL OAK MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNUAL GIFT SALE AND CHRISTMAS FAIR:
