" Congratulations to the Jr Boys Basketball Team on some hard-fought games this past weekend at Lambrick Secondary School; the boys were in tough against some stiff competition, but they definitely improved and came together as a team as the weekend progressed ...special congratulations goes out to Jamil Tanzuaco for his tenacious attack on offense and Ethan Bond who fought extremely hard in the post - well done boys!!" 

Congratulations to the winners of this year's door decorating contest! In the traditional category, the winner was Ms Irving's Room 109 & honourable mention goes to Ms Pryhitka's class with their giant penguin! In the department theme category, there were 2 winners: Mr Horncastle's door & Ms Stokes' door, with honourable mention to Ms Wilson's door. Prizes will be delivered Wednesday. Thanks to everyone who participated!

COOKIE CLUB IS CANCELLED FOR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY THIS WEEK.

COMMUNITY EVENT: TOYS FOR TOTS – Wednesday December 11 – DRIVE THRU BREAKFAST ; in exchange for new toy or cash donation, drivers receive coffee or juice, muffin or scone. From 6 to 9 a.m., @ Mary Winspear Centre.

ONE FREE STUDENT TICKET: Coupons for student tickets to VICTORIA ROYALS HOCKEY GAMES available – must be redeemed with purchase of at least one adult ticket. Pick up at front office counter.

CREPES AT LUNCH: every Friday until January 17. Entrepreneurship Class: do you like crepes? Come on Friday to the Cafeteria at lunch, for $2 Nutella or Strawberry Crepes.

TACKY SWEATER DAY: Thurs Dec 19 – wear your tacky sweaters, get into the Holiday spirit! Be creative & decorate a sweater! Fundraiser for the Food Bank.

PICTURES WITH SANTA & THE ELVES: Thurs Dec 19 @ Lunch; come down to front foyer & get your pictures taken with Santa. Bring camera or phone for pictures,& ONE dollar or a CAN of non-perishable food as payment. Donations to Food Bank.

CHRISTMAS RECYCLED DECORATIONS - FRONT FOYER: to December 20TH: GREEN TEAM setting up trees. Take part in exploring creative recycling - everyone welcome!

Sr.Boys Basketball team finished their tournament with two losses & one win. Losing opener by just 5 pts to GNS. Congratulations Justine Porlares – named to tournament team. Thanks Sr.Girls for scorekeeping. Overall, a very successful tournament.
