ALL GRADS ARE REMINDED THAT THE LAST DAY TO ORDER GRAD WEAR IS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 14. Order forms and payment made at front office.

The Learning Commons will be streaming the OLYMPICS before school, during our breaks, lunch and after school. Anyone is welcome to come and cheer team Canada on! Most of the live events are on during the morning. See you there!

A pair of gloves were found in Computer Lab 202 just after lunch on Tuesday. Please come to the main office to claim them.

Are you a grade 11 female student interested in leadership?  The Minerva Foundation for BC Women is having a Leadership Development workshop at UBC from May 23-25th.  Parkland can put forward the name of one grade 11 girl.  If this interests you, pick up an information and application package at the office.Deadline for applications to be in to the office is Thursday February 20th. Please see Ms. Chicanot for more information.

Attention all international students: Tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th is the last day to sign up for next week's Vancouver Trip.

TUTORING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE: any student wishing to tutor two young Brentwood students in Grade 6 Math and Grade 4 English, please see Mr. Buckham for more details.

INTRAMURAL DODGEBALL SCHEDULE:
Thursday Feb 13 – Jonny Cayou's team versus Sam T's team
Friday Feb 14 – Sayril's team versus The Plugs

At 2:00 p.m. Today, Thursday Feb 13, the Senior Girls Basketball team begins Lower Island Playoffs. Their first game is against PCS who are also hosting Lower Island, which starts today, and continues Friday and Saturday.
At 5:45pm today, Feb 13, the Junior Girls Basketball Team have a HOME game vs. St. Margaret’s. Come cheer them on!
At 7:30pm today, Feb 13,  the Senior Boys Basketball Team play at Stelly’s. It is a Spirit Game so hope to see lots of “Parkland Spirit” in the stands.  
Last evening the boys battled hard against Spectrum with EVERY player having a chance to play, but lost 65-42. Nice to see the whole team taking shots on net!

Congratulations to the SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM: they beat GNS 62-61 last night. They were trailing by 12 pts in the first half. Russell Bennett finished with 17pts and Godwin Porlares with 10 pts. The boys were able to win the game because of their great effort on defense. Next HOME game is Wednesday, February 12th against Spectrum at 7:30 p.m.

Congratulations to the Parkland Senior Girls BBALL Team who finished second at their 5th Annual Panthers Tournament over the weekend. Many THANKS to Mr. Pires, Harry and the Senior Boys for all of their help! Extra Congratulations to Breanna Clooney and Emma Dennis. Both girls were awarded with tournament all star awards. Way to go Emma and Bre!
