REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS WRITING THE WATERLOO MATH CONTEST – THURSDAY FEBRUARY 20TH @: 8:30 a.m. In room 105.

Could all Entrepreneurship students from semester 1 please meet Mrs. Stokes in Room 210 Thursday February 20 at lunch.

Attention GRADE 11 GIRLS: Minerva Foundation for BC hosts Leadership Development workshop at UBC in May: Parkland can nominate one grade 11 girl. Information & application at front office.Deadline for applications: Thursday February 20th. Please see Ms. Chicanot for more information.

REMEMBER: FRIDAY FEB 21 IS NON-INSTRUCTIONAL DAY – NO SCHOOL!

Girls Soccer Try-outs get started next week. Tuesday, Feb 25th after school in the gym (bring your runners) and Thursday Feb 27 after early dismissal. Please see Ms. Dibblee if you are interested in playing and can not make these first two try-outs.

UVic will have an advisor available at Parkland on Thursday, February 27th from 9:30 to 11:30 to assist students with scholarship, program or registration information.  The appointment sheet is now available on Mr. Choo's door for you to sign up.. 

On Thursday February 27th Parkland will be holding its third annual Open House. This year we are encouraging entire families to attend as there will be many activities for younger students including the huge inflatable obstacle course from Panorama.  Many Parkland students will be hosting and participating in activities that evening.  Please encourage your family, friends and neighbours to attend!

Attention All Grads: the final due date for ALL Grad yearbook Write-ups is Friday February 28th. Pick up an information sheet at the office to learn how to submit."

SAILOR FOR A WEEK PROGRAM @ HMCS MALAHAT - spring break: students 17 and over; learn about Naval Reserve. sea survival training, ship's tour, bridge simulator, boot camp, various sports. NO COST, but application required – available from Ms. McNamee in Career Centre, or from front office. DEADLINE: Friday February 28. First come, first serve!

The Senior Boys basketballl team was RANKED for the first time in years. They are #8 on the Island presently and their GAME TONIGHT at Stelly’s 5:45 pm will determine if they advance to Lower Islands this weekend. Hope to see many Parkland Fans at Stelly’s tonight to show the Boys our support!

Congratulations to Parkland Senior Girls Basketball team on their recent games! Good luck at Islands Tournament this coming weekend.

Peninsula Box Lacrosse 2014 Registration at www.penlax.com. Assessments take place soon & season starts after spring break. Open to players aged 5-16. Play the fastest game on two feet!
