SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:

All students volunteering for Sidney Elementary Spring Fling please meet in  Career Center Thursday June 4 @ beginning of lunch.


MEETING TODAY FOR: Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, spring break 2016. Get yourself enrolled online at eftours.ca ASAP if you want a Poutine Lunch in room 112 today!


Tomorrow (Friday June 5th) students will be issued their next year's timetables in TAG.  Please review your timetable very carefully and if there are any problems with your timetable please pick up a course change form at the office.  Counsellors will be available starting on Monday to see students regarding their timetables.  Be sure to bring your course change form with you to your counselling appointment.  Forms need to be signed by parents.

Congratulations to the Band, Choir, and Guitar students for an amazing concert last night.  You all impressed the audience.  Thanks to Ms. Sousa for all her hard work and dedication.  Parkland is definitely the school to go to if you are into music!

 

ALL GRADS: THERE IS MANDATORY GRAD ASSEMBLY and REHEARSAL - FRIDAY JUNE 5, BLOCK D. DON'T MISS IT!

There will be an important grad rehearsal in the gym in D block tomorrow (Friday June 5th).  All grade 12 students are required to be in attendance as this is a practice for the graduation ceremony on June 24th at UVic.  Please let Ms. Chicanot know if you are unable to make this rehearsal so that she can go over the information with you at another time.


Shaking Up Shakespeare!
On Friday, June 5, enjoy a night of comedy  a spoof of the works of William Shakespeare in two fun plays.  "Drop Dead Juliet" and "The Incomplete Works of William Shakespeare" are hilarious!  Tickets available from Mrs. Wigbers in accounts office for $7.00 each, or at the door on the night of the play.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m.

MEETING FOR ANY AND ALL PARKLAND STUDENTS interested in joining Parkland Rowing Team for the fall. Meet in Ms. Stelck's room, 111, @ lunch, Thursday June 11. Everyone welcome!

YEAR END DANCE SHOWCASE - Thursday June 11 @ 7 p.m. Tickets $7 available at the front office, or @ the door.


Come out to this year's Panther mile on Tuesday June 9th at 3:30 on the track. Tickets are $5 and you can get them from Jacqueline Gaby. All proceeds go towards building a new Parkland track!


ALL STUDENTS: please check lost and found. Any items remaining will be donated to charity at the end of school year.


ALL GRAD PACKAGES ARE NOW OFFICIALLY OVERDUE. Check board to be sure all your paperwork is in.

ALSO: Grad Guests forms for dinner dance DUE JUNE 9. Bond must be attached.

     - If you require transcripts, please be sure to give at least one day's notice at front office for your request.


PARKLAND CAFETERIA CLOSES FOR THE END OF SCHOOL YEAR - AS OF FRIDAY JUNE 12. Pizza sales may be available in the next week. Stay tuned for more information.

There have been major changes to application for Thrifty Foods/Camosun Foundation scholarship.   Instead of submitting your application to Mr. Choo, students must apply for the scholarship online @ Camosun College website. Deadline: August 15th.

Summer Job! Are you a Sr. Student who loves boating and marina's?A local Marina is looking for two summer employees to work around the marina and on the fuel dock. Interested in recreational boating industry, this is a good place to start. Male or female are welcome to apply for this. Beginning wage would be $12.00 per hour.
