WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 11 - NATIONAL REMEMBRANCE DAY - SCHOOL IS CLOSED.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 12 & FRIDAY NOVEMBER 13 - NON-INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS, HAVE A NICE LONG LONG WEEKEND!

www.lifetouch.ca/victoria to book an appointment. The Lifetouch trailor will be onsite from
Nov 19 to 25 only, and bookings fill quickly, so BOOK EARLY.


Parkland Contest: open to all students.

Samples of previous invitations are available for viewing in the office. Deadline:  Nov 30.
Winning invitation and prize will be announced in December.

INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE: see posting in gym

SENIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL TEAM competed in the Lower Island volleyball championships this week. In quarter-finals, Parkland beat Stelly's, 25 to 17, then 25 to 20. Parkland then lost to Lambrick in the semis, but the crucial match against Stelly's means that Parkland qualified for the Island Championships, which are to be played November 20 and 21. Congratulations, Panthers, for qualifying for the Islands!

A big congratulations to Joseph Bond who represented Parkland at the B.C.'s for
Cross Country on Saturday in Vancouver. Joseph finished 83rd out of 210 runners - well done Joseph!

Lattitude Global Volunteering is an international youth development charity. 
Its mission is to educate young people worldwide by providing inclusive opportunities to make a positive difference to the lives of others. MATH HELP CENTRE:  open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: now open at lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz. thank you to Mrs. Beaucamp for making this happen!
