SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:

ANY STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT YET PICKED UP THEIR REPORT CARD, PLEASE DO SO TODAY @ front office - at BREAK, at LUNCH OR AFTER SCHOOL!

TICKETS FOR THE GRAD WINTER SEMI-FORMAL on Thursday December 3, go on sale this week in the front foyer. Get your tickets early for this special grad event, $40 each!
If you have prepaid your ticket, please see Ms. Wigbers in front office to pick up.


Listen up Parkland- it's time to give back this Holiday Season. Beginning next week, December 11, all block B classes will be helping out with not one, but two great causes! Starting on Monday, the annual holiday food drive will be taking place in support of the Sidney Lions Food Bank! Also, New this year, we will also be collecting stocking stuffers for teens in support of Santa's Anonymous. So start getting together your non perishable food items as well as any items you'd like to see in your holiday stocking and bring them to your B block class on Monday. There will be a prize for the class that collects the most items. Stay tuned for further information coming at ya this week! Oh and did we mention that Stelly's has challenged us to see who can raise more- let's show them how thoughtful Parkland Panthers are and beat them!
 
ALL students registered in Psychology 12 and Law 12 next semester must get their applications
in ASAP. Please make an appointment with Ms. Anderson to review your application if need be.

If you want to be part of creating Sidney's new concrete skateboard community facility at Tulista Park, and contribute ideas towards the facility's design and integration into the park, please attend a workshop TONGIHT Tuesday November 24, from 6 to 8 p.m/, at the Sidney Fire Department.

Anyone interested in travelling to Spain, there is a meeting on TOMORROW Wednesday November 25th in Mr. Tudela's room at lunch.

Sidney Public Library is looking for input from Parkland Teens to find out how they can make the Library better.  MEETING:  Wednesday November 25, FROM 4—5:30 pm  Register at the desk, by email or see Mr. Mueller in the Library.

FREE TEEN FEST EVENT: November 28, 2015 at Pearkes Recreation Centre - Skateboarding, makeovers, free entertainment all day! Pick up entry tickets at school front office if interested.


FREE MUSIC CONCERT FOR STUDENTS 19 and under: SUNDAY NOVEMBER 29 @ 2:30 p.m.; St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Sidney, includes: Bach piano concertos with Robert Holliston on piano.

catalogues have arrived in the Career Centre. Come and have a look!

Also: any 2016 GRADS applying for early admission, or for scholarships or bursaries, please give at least two days notice to the front office for obtaining copies of your current transcript.

International Winter Dance:  district winter dance is on Wednesday, Dec 2nd at Stelly's, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Attention all students interested in 3 vs 3 lunch basketball intramurals. Sign up your team by handing in the form to the PE office or the Main Office, by this Friday! League Starts next week.

Tuesday NOVEMBER 24:        Jr Boys 7 - 8 a.m. , no practices in evening b/c of volleyball windup dinner!

Wed NOVEMBER 25:        Sr Boys 7 - 8:15 a.m., After school meeting for ALL BBall players (Sr and Jr, Boys and Girls) in Theatre at 3:15 p.m. , followed by meeting for: Sr Girls 5 - 7 p.m.

Thursday NOVEMBER 26 :       Jr Boys 3:15 - 5:00 p.m.; Jr Girls 5:00 - 7:00 p.m

Fri day NOVEMBER 27:          Sr Boys 2 - 4 p.m ;  Sr Girls 4  - 6 p. m.


Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Volleyball team who had a great season and finished 8th place on the Island.

All Volleyball Teams - see you at the wrap up banquet Tuesday night at 5:30.

All SENOR BOYS soccer players who are ordering a hoodie or jacket must have their order and money in to Mr. Sutton by Wednesday Nov. 25th.  Also please return your uniform by Friday.

SENIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL TEAM played well at Island Championships this past weekend, and ended up winning the consolation final over Highland a 3 set tie-braker. Congratulations to Sayril Silaya who earned an Island All-star.

MATH HELP CENTRE:  open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: now open at lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz. thank you to Mrs. Beaucamp for making this happen!
