SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:

CANDY CANE GRAMS - fundraiser for the Grad Class of 2016. On sale from December 2 to 11th!

Last Friday Grade 12's were introduced to the idea of organ donation.  Organ donation forms can be picked up and dropped off at the office.  Claremont has challenged us to see which school signs up more students!  See Ms. Chicanot if you want more information.

GRAD 2016 WINTER DINNER DANCE takes place tonight Thursday December 3 at Yacht Club, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

THURSDAY DECEMBER 3  - CLAREMONT POST SECONDARY AND UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES info night - from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Variety of local presenters, including: UVIC, VIU, CAMOSUN, CDF COLLEGE, AVEDA, SALTS, and others.

Listen up Parkland- Beginning December 11, all block B classes will be helping out with two great causes! (1) nnual food drive in support of Sidney Lions Food Bank and (2) collecting stocking stuffers for teens in support of Santa's Anonymous. Start getting together your non-perishable food items, as well as holiday stocking stuffers. Prize for the Block B class that collects the most items! Stelly's has challenged us to see who can raise more - let's show them!

THURSDAY DECEMBER 10 - BAYSIDE COMMUNITY CRAFT FAIR - 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - gifts and crafts, Winter Band concert included, at 7 p.m. SHARE THE JOY!


2016 Fresh Minds Symposium:  FEBRUARY 2016

The University of Victoria is pleased to present the 2016 Fresh Minds Symposium, a day-long youth conference for grade 9 students from across BC. Participants will:

  • Engage in a variety of different interactive workshops and presentations
  • Learn basic tools that will help them become effective leaders
  • Get an early taste of university life!
  • If you're grade 9 and interested, sign up on the list on Mr. Choo's door by the end of next week.

BAGEL BREAKFAST: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings, before school, @ blue tables area.

MATH HELP CENTRE:  open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: now open at lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz. thank you to Mrs. Beaucamp for making this happen!
