SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:

Congratulations to the grad committee for organizing a fantastic Winter Semi Formal.  Last night was a great success.  And thank you to the teacher sponsors who volunteered their time to chaperone.  If you left with a jacket that was not yours, by mistake, please come to the office to exchange it for the one that was left behind.

CANDY CANE GRAMS - fundraiser for the Grad Class of 2016. On sale from to DECEMBER 11th!

Grade 12's were recently introduced to the idea of organ donation.  Forms can be picked up and dropped off at the office.  Claremont has challenged us to see which school signs up more students!  See Ms. Chicanot for more info.


Listen up Parkland- All block B classes should bring in:  (1) annual food drive donations in support of Sidney Lions Food Bank and (2) collecting stocking stuffers for teens in support of Santa's Anonymous. Prize for Block B class that collects the most xmas goodwill donations!

THURSDAY DECEMBER 10 - BAYSIDE COMMUNITY CRAFT FAIR - 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - gifts and crafts, Winter Band concert included, at 7 p.m. SHARE THE JOY!

2016 Fresh Minds Symposium:  FEBRUARY 2016

The University of Victoria is pleased to present the 2016 Fresh Minds Symposium, a day-long youth conference for grade 9 students from across BC. Participants will:

  • Engage in a variety of different interactive workshops and presentations
  • Learn basic tools that will help them become effective leaders
  • Get an early taste of university life!
  • If you're grade 9 and interested, sign up on the list on Mr. Choo's door by the end of next week.

ALL GRADS: Many new university, college and trade school academic calendars and

catalogues have arrived in the Career Centre. Come and have a look!

Also: any 2016 GRADS applying for early admission, or for scholarships or bursaries, please give at least two days notice to the front office for obtaining copies of your current transcript.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Senior Girls Badketball team for their 32 point win at Royal Bay last night. The team was lead by Lauren Fanelli and Sarah Gibson, both scoring over 20 points. Way to go girls!

BAGEL BREAKFAST: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings, before school, @ blue tables area.

MATH HELP CENTRE:  open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: now open at lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz. thank you to Mrs. Beaucamp for making this happen!
