The Parkland Mock Trial team argued their way to the finals in the Provincial Mock Trial Competition this Saturday at the Victoria Law courts and won second place against 14 other schools!
The team participated in 4 trials throughout the day in different courtrooms with different judges and the final trial was so good that Madam Justice Murray commented they were better than some lawyers she hears in her courtroom!
Congratulations to the witnesses Cathy Fu and Cordaliene Van Marrum who kept to their story in spite of some difficult cross examination, and the lawyers, Paarth Mittal, Arianne Stevenson, Tomas Kalyniuk, Emma Jackson and Katie Lee. We are very proud of Katie Lee who won Best Lawyer overall for the whole competition! A HUGE success for Parkland!
