THURSDAY FEBRUARY 15TH - EDUTECH IN SIDNEY - FREE evening event open to all community members - from 4 to 7 p.m. - in the style of a localized trade show, showcasing a variety of businesses from the menufacturing and tech sector industries. Check our career opportunities, local growth and development plans, and find out about some interesting companies you didn't know were here!

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 24 - SOLDIER FOR A DAY - from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - 715 Bay Street, Victoria, B.C. For all students interested in CANADIAN ARMED FORCES RESERVES, how a soldier is trained, what equipment and vehicles are used. Experience a portion of the annual fitness test, receive basic instruction in marching and drill. SPACE LIMITED, so early registration is encouraged. See Ms. McNamee for details.



ANTI-BULLYING DAY IS COMING UP ON WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28TH. Wear a pink shirt to symbolize a stand against bullying.



SOUTHERN VANCOUVER ISLAND SKILLS CANADA REGIONAL COMPETITION - DISCOVER TRADES & TECHNOLOGY EVENT: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 2018 @ CAMOSUN COLLEGE - INTERURBAN CAMPUS. ATHLETICS, SPORTS TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:


TRACK AND FIELD TEAM: Love running, jumping, and throwing objects??!! This is the team for YOU! Come to a meeting at lunch in the Career Centre on Monday February 19th. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BASKETBALL TEAMS ON THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE COURSE OF THE PAST WEEK:

Our Senior Girls team put on two gutsy performances at their Lower Island tourney at Lambrick Park this past weekend but unfortunately did not make it through to the upcoming Island Championships.



Our Junior Girls & JunIor Boys teams are still competing this week and have represented their school well to this point; the Junior Boys play Esquimalt (at Esquimalt) this coming Wednesday after school.


Our Senior Boys won two out of three home games last week in exciting fashion - thank you to all those folks who came out to support last Thursday and Friday for the Spirit Nights! The boys continue on to their Lower Islands, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week - GOOD LUCK PANTHERS!

LONGVIEW FARMS URGENTLY NEEDS DAFFODIL PICKERS. PIECEWORK @ $20 PER BOX. An average picker does 4 to 5 per day; good pickers over 10 boxes per day! See Ms. McNamee for further information.

2. WORK SAFE FOR YEP - Friday May 4 - 3 hour FREE WORKSHOP; great for resume.

3. ALERT FIRST AID - SATURDAY MAY 5 - 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. - basic CPR, first aid, hands-on training. $50 registration.
