WEDNESDAY JUNE 20,   2018 - LAST DAY OF CLASSES! exams begin tomorrow!

ATTENTION ALL JOURNALISM AND WRITING 12 STUDENTS from last semester: We are having a Preview Party for the Yearbook! Come to Mrs. Antonik's classroom #111 at lunch TODAY  WEDNESDAY JUNE 20 to get your yearbook a day early! P.S. It looks awesome!


CALLING ALL JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS WHO WANT TO PLAY BASKETBALL NEXT YEAR: please come to a meeting @ lunch on Wednesday June 20 in the Career Centre.


For Parkland's National Aboriginal Day celebrations this month, Fried Bread will be sold in the foyer TODAY at lunch; $2 each piece or  bring non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank, or a school friend.


ALL GRADS: please stop by office to vote for your choice for the grad song.  Voting closes TODAY Wednesday June 20.


2017 - 2018 PARKLAND YEARBOOKS have arrived! If students have pre-purchased a yearbook they will be able to collect yearbooks in the Library / Learning Commons starting at LUNCH ON THURSDAY JUNE 21. Students must have all overdue library books returned and student fees must all be paid and up to date.


ANY STUDENTS WHO NEED TO PICK UP THEIR NEW TIMETABLES, please pick up from the front office:

AT BREAK, AT LUNCH, BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL ONLY!


REMINDERS FOR UPCOMING EXAM WEEK: check exam schedule - NOW POSTED through school website, and on the front foyer notice boards. Any exam conflicts see Mr. Buckham ASAP. All grade 11 students - check the time and day you will be writing the NUMERACY ASSESSMENT. Finally - for ALL EXAMS - students must show up at least 15 minutes early, and bring the necessary materials with them - calculators, pencils, pens, etc.


MS. JONES from North Saanich is looking for a lifeguard to come with her class on a trip to Sidney Island on June 21 and 22. Please contact her, or Ms. Dibblee if you are certified and interested in helping her out.


GRADE 11 PARENT HELP NEEDED: annually Grade 11 parents are asked to help on Graduation Day; help is given back the year following. TO BE DONE:  deal with after-grad clothing bags on June 27th dropped off at the PHOTOS AT THE PIER event, 10:30 a.m.. Additional assistance is needed collecting grad gowns on the students' return from the UVIC ceremony to Mary Winspear, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., June 27.  If any grade 11 student's parents can lend a hand, please contact: parklandgradparents@gmail.com.

1. ALL STUDENTS finishing up their WORK EXPERIENCE PAPERWORK need to see Ms. McNamee ASAP!

2. ALL STUDENTS, ALL GRADES - Students taking WORK EXPERIENCE next year, and who have a job this summer, see Ms. McNamee to ACTIVATE THE COURSE in July - hours don't count until course is ACTIVATED!

PENINSULA PLAYERS welcomes Parkland students for on-stage and back-stage auditions and participation. Auditions will be held for murder mystery play by Agatha Christie called "The Mousetrap"  in July. Students can register as members on Peninsula Players website. TUTORIALS AND COURSE WORK ASSISTANCE: LOTS OF HELP AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT AVAILABLE!

1. ROOM 201, EACH DAY FOR 1 HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, with Mr. Morley - available to help with MATH, CALCULUS, SCIENCE, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY. OPEN to all students, including those working on SIDES courses.

2. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE: REMINDER TO ALL TEACHERS AND STUDENTS - TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school.    Wednesday & Friday tutorial times are best for longer tests & assignments.
3. LEARNING COMMONS SUPPORT: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday day after school until 3:40 p.m., Wednesday & Friday until 3:35 p.m.

4. MATH & SCIENCE HELPavailable every day after school in Room 208.
