CANADIAN TIRE: The owner and manager of the new CANADIAN TIRE is coming to Parkland TOMORROW to meet and interview ANY INTERESTED STUDENTS, wanting to work part-time! PAC Volunteer Opportunities: Parents and Guardians - Volunteering is a great way to connect with the school, students and staff. And it’s lots of fun too : ) Help needed!

Spirit BBQ - Friday Oct 5 - approximately  10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Help with serving lunch to our students and staff - salmon and bannock!

Bagel Breakfasts - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 7:45 - 8:30 a.m. Duties include: minimal set- up, collecting payment of 25 cents!, a quick tidy up.

ATHLETICS, SPORTS TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS AND GAMES ANNOUNCEMENTS:

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL will be having two try-outs this week - Wednesday October 3 and Thursday October 4 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. - please show up 15 minutes early!


PARKLAND ROWERS  PRODUCED SOME GREAT RESULTS THIS PAST WEEKEND AT ELK LAKE DURING THE CRABFEST REGATTA:

- Danada Howard-Batek and Anna Hulbert - 1st in Senior Advanced Women's Double.

- Cor Van Stolk, Escher Nicholson, Oliver Howard-Batek, and Devon Keeler - 2nd in Senior Advanced Men's Quad.

- Jari Scott, Aaron Demers-Kovacs, Femke Vanhaeren and Keli Carroll - 2nd in the Skills Competition.

- Harrison Martin, Nick Sullivan, Marshall Walden, and Rowan Keeler - 3rd in the Skills Competiton, with the Junior Boys Quad Crew.

- Senior Novice Men's Eight beat GNS in their 500 metre duel, and had the second fastest time of the day in the eight, and placed 2nd overall in their event.
