GREASE! - MUSICAL THEATRE TICKETS ON SALE ! Performances: Wednesday January 30 to Saturday February 2; TICKETS $15 evenings; $12 matinee. Call / see front office accounts. These shows sell out - get  your tickets early!


IT'S OFFICIAL! PARKLAND GRAD 2019 HOODIE ORDER FORMS ARE NOW AVAILABLE at front office. Sample hoodies available at office over the next week, to try on. Cost: $40 per hoodie. Please pay accounts at front office, with order form; cash, cheque, credit or debit.

Order forms must be returned by Wednesday January 23. This is a short order period, so please get your orders in!


GAME CLUB: The very first GAME CLUB meeting of 2019 is gong to be next Monday, January 14th at lunch in room 206. See you there!


THURSDAY JANUARY 17 - INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE INFORMATION EVENING, @ 7.p.m. For parents of students in grades 9 or 10, who maybe be interested in the two year international baccalaureate program that begins in grade 11 @ Parkland. The IB program develops inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. Completion of the IB Diploma program will gain students credit for first year at university for a number of courses. Come and find out more about this academically engaging program now offered at Parkland Secondary.


Friday SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB: every Friday, sign language club meets in Room 206 at lunch. See you there!


2019 STUDENT SAFETY VIDEO CONTEST: Submit your video on keeping young workers safe, and win a cash prize! Bonus prize - aspiring filmmaker award! Deadline for original video production: FRIDAY MARCH 22, 2019. See front foyer board for further information.

ZONTA'S "YOUNG WOMEN IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS AWARD" is accepting applications from women that are 16 to 19 years old, committed to volunteerism and experience in local government. Deadline for $2000 first place, and $1000 second place, award is January 31, 2019. Email or meet with Mr. Choo for details and the application form.

FREE RETAIL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES: spots available in Sidney and Brentwood Bay, starting in February. Classes are 4 Sundays for: cash register, counting cash, customer service, creating displays, sorting inventory, pricing, opening and closing procedures and training. You will be treated as a employee, and work with a busy team of staff members. Great training for first time work experience in retail, and other work environments. See Ms. McNamee to sign up!

1. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE, ROOM 204:  SUPERVISED TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school, TO CATCH UP ON SCHOOL WORK, & TO DO MISSED TESTS.  note: Wednesday & Friday tutorials are best for longer tests & assignments. 

2. TUTORIALS IN THE LEARNING COMMONS: every day after school

3. AFTER SCHOOL FRENCH has now been moved to Room 112, Wednesdays after school.
