ELL STARTS THURSDAY FEBRUARY 7th, AT 3:15 P.M., at North Saanich Middle School. All volunteers for ELL please attend a meeting TOMORROW Wednesday February 6th, at lunch in the Career Centre. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers!


TO ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS: plan to be in the Parkland Gym this Thursday February 7 to take in some exciting basketball action! Our SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM takes on St. Andrews in one of their final league games of the year at 7:30 p.m., just after the conclusion of our Parkland Community Open House. Dress in Parkland colours, bring some noisemakers, and come out to cheer on the Panthers - hope to see you there!


THURSDAY FEBRUARY 7 - EARLY DISMISSAL AT 2 P.M., FOR PARKLAND OPEN HOUSE FROM 5:30 TO 7:30 p.m. Please note: buses run at regular times. Students and families are all welcome to OPEN HOUSE. Many displays and lots of course information: meet teachers, attend SPIRIT GAMES with Senior Boys Basketball and other teams. IB INFORMATION, performing arts, judo academy, hockey academy, sailing academy, fine arts programs, musical theatre, careers, technology and VR, sport performance, marine program, carpentry, auto, metal and trades, indigenous education, Parkland band and music program - come out and see what Parkland is offering, and what our students are doing! FAMILY DAY PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT: BAYSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL QUEBEC TRIP FUNDRAISER - Monday February 18, 2019 = sign up between 10 a.m. and 12; hunt time is two hours, and ends at 2 p.m. Participation is by donation; suggested $20 per family. Prizes, prizes!

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM won 60 to 59 with a last second foul shot by John Mark to give the boys a hard fought victory over Mt. Doug; Panthers now third place in the league. Come watch them play in the Spirit Game on Thursday! 


CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM who won their final regular league game - great winning streak girls! Keep up the good teamwork, and good luck with your Lower Islands Tournament at PCS, February 7, 8 and 9!

WANTED (ALIVE!) students for REACH PERFORMING COMPANY  - work with differently-abled youth and adults, weekly. Should have an interest in performing arts, working with a diverse and fun group of people. See Ms. McNamee for info.

1. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE, ROOM 204:  SUPERVISED TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school, TO CATCH UP ON SCHOOL WORK, & TO DO MISSED TESTS.  note: Wednesday & Friday tutorials are best for longer tests & assignments.

3. AFTER SCHOOL FRENCH has now been moved to Room 112, Wednesdays after school.
