Tomorrow is a Professional Development Day, there will be no classes. See you Monday Oct 26 - DAY 2.

Just a reminder that student drop off/pick up is in the parking lot by the tennis courts. Or you can use the bus loop.

Although we will not be hosting our traditional, annual Terry Fox Run this year at Parkland, students are still encouraged to get out and complete the run on their own and/or donate to our school’s fundraising page. Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarships offers a $5000 scholarship for a student with critical financial need (ie. $65,000 or less annual nets income per family) Deadline to apply is October 26, 2020. See Mr. Choo.

Mr. Choo will post scholarship information on "Admission & Scholarships 2020-2021" Google Classroom.  Check periodically.  Read the criteria and instructions carefully and observe deadlines stringently.   Information about each scholarship will be provided and the relevant application form will be attached.  


ATHLETICS, SPORTS TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS AND GAME ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Intramurals is now up and running within the cohorts.  The lunch time schedule for gym time is as follows:
Monday's Grade 9's in Gym
Tuesday's Grade 10's in gym
Thursday Grade 11's in gym
Friday's Grade 12's in gym

Are you interested in running? Would you like to be part of the Parkland Cross Country Team this year? The first race is this week, and it is a timed 3K or 5.5K run that you complete on your own and submit the times to the league. If you are interested, please see Ms. Dibblee or Mr. Sutton in the gym or send Ms. Dibble an email. 

If you are interested in playing on the girls basketball teams this year, please see Ms. Gribling in the office.

WORK EXPERIENCE 12A & 12B - 100 to 120 hours of on-site job training; 4 credits each course; @  ALL locations; Semester 1 and 2.

After School Math Tutorial Now Running (Virtually!)
Former Parkland Student and UVic math degree holder Chloe Hegland will be hosting extra-help sessions for math after school on Wednesdays from 2:15 to 3:30. Students will need their own device and Zoom account to join, but can do so from the comfort of their home. Drop in once you are home after school whenever you need help working through problems, require a mini review lesson, or want help studying for a test. The credentials to join are:
