PARKLAND DAILY NEWS:

This is Random Acts of Kindness week - say hi to someone new, hold the door open for a senior, take the garbage out without being asked.

There will be one more opportunity for students to participate in course selection talks.  Any students who may have missed their course selection talks last week or this week can attend according to the following schedule:
Thursday Feb 25th at 10 am:
Grade 9s--library
Grade 10s--theatre
Grade 11s--room 210
Course selection forms can be found on the Parkland website and extra copies are also available at the front office.  Course selection forms are due to the front office on March 5th.

Join us Thursday, February 25 for a virtual Parent Info Night focusing on Course Selection for Sept 2021.

Parent / Teacher interviews are March 4 - 5:00-7:00pm, call Ms. Gribling in the office at 250-655-2700 for your phone interview.

Annual Parent Engagement Mental Health meeting March 11 @ 7:00 pm

All Musical Theatre students, Stagecraft students, and our EA’s are encouraged to meet in the theatre on Wednesday, March 3 from 2:15-3:30 pm to view our finished project and celebrate our hard work!  Please arrive with masks on and sit in your grade cohorts.

Quarter 2 Report Cards were distributed Feb 5 - pick up now at the front office.

Quarter 3  - Bus Routes - Morning pick up will remain the same, to bring you to school.  -  Lunch time – return home from school – go to the bus loop right after your Block 1 class. After school buses run at regular time to take you home.

Central Saanich Little League Registration information. Ages 13-16

The Parkland Track 2021 campaign has been officially launched.  You will notice posters in the school and around the community advertizing this campaign.  We hope to raise enough money by June of this year to replace the track over the summer.  Please spread the word about this exciting new project and check out the website at www.parklandtrack2021.com .  There is a DONATE NOW button on the website for those interested in donating. We also have a Go Fund Me page. It will take a village to raise the money needed but we can do it!

Just a reminder that student drop off/pick up is in the parking lot by the tennis courts. Or you can use the bus loop.

Our District Indigenous Post-Secondary Liaison Shane Hartman is at Parkland every Tuesday from 11:00am-12:00pm in the Cultural room to answer questions and help you with your Post-Secondary needs. After School Math Tutorial Now Running (Virtually!)
Former Parkland Student and UVic math degree holder Chloe Hegland will be hosting extra-help sessions for math after school on Wednesdays from 2:15 to 3:30. Students will need their own device and Zoom account to join, but can do so from the comfort of their home. Drop in once you are home after school whenever you need help working through problems, require a mini review lesson, or want help studying for a test. The credentials to join are:
