Timetable for the 2022/2023 school year went home last Friday, pick up now at the front office.

Bell schedule change: June 20 ~ Block 1 all morning and Block 3 all afternoon

                                    June 21 ~ Block 2 all morning and Block 4 all afternoon

June 22-27 - Course completion only, no classes. Teachers will notify parents if their student has to attend and what is missing.

Just a reminder to all students to please start returning all textbooks you no longer need to the library. All items signed out on your account must be returned to the library by the end of the school year or you will be charged. If you have any concerns, please come and speak with a Librarian.

We have couple Volleyball hoodies ($45) and Rugby jackets ($55) for sale, limited sizes. See Ms. Gribling in the office if you are interested.

Saanich International Student Program (SISP) is actively looking for new Host Families for our international students joining us at the end of August 2022. Make lifelong friendships, provide a student with a home away from home and share the beauty of your community!  If you are interested in this opportunity, host families are provided:

·      $975 per month per student (students must have their own bedroom)
·      Ongoing support from the SISP Homestay team
·      International students who are fully vaccinated

The Parkland Track campaign is still running.  Work on the new track has started but we are still in need of raising funds to resurface it. Please spread the word about this exciting community project and check out the website at www.parklandtrack2021.com .  There is a DONATE TODAY button at the top for those interested in donating. It will take a village to raise the money needed but we can do it! Thank you for your support of our community project.

Youth Health Clinic is every Thursday night 5:30-7:30 @ Shoreline Medical Clinic.

The PAC Breakfast Program will be Thursday's and Friday's 7:45-8:20.  Baked goods and juice boxes available.  .25 cents per item.

ATHLETICS, SPORTS TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS AND GAME ANNOUNCEMENTS:

KidSport Greater Victoria is a local organization that exists to help families in need access organized sport opportunities for their children. To be eligible for up to $600 per year in registration fee support, children must be 18 years or under, families must be within financial eligibility limits, and season must be at least 8 weeks long with an eligible sport organization.  For more information, a list of eligible local sport organizations, and to apply, visit www.kidsportvictoria.ca.

West Wind Hardwood. Are you graduating, and looking for full-time work? West Wind is looking for someone with basic woodwork knowledge that can help our skilled joiners in the shop. Training would be provided as needed. See Ms. McNamee for more details!

Volunteers needed!!  Deep Cove Elementary is looking for student helpers for their year end picnic June 23rd from 5 -8. If you can help please see Ms.Mac and get signed up.

Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club has an opening in their kitchen for a full time position for July and August. The student must be 16 and returning to school in September. Duties include food prep, desserts, salads, plating for events, dishes, and cleaning.  See Ms.Mac for more information.

The Sidney/North Saanich Library has a job opening for a Page.  Candidates must be 16 years old or older.  They are looking for an individual who takes pride in being organized – accurately shelving materials and completing routine library tasks in a timely manner.  If you are interested, apply online.

Digital Works is offering FREE Career & Digital training sessions for young adults 17 - 29.  The session is August 8th, and will help you build fundamental digital skills so you can connect to employment in your chosen field.  See Ms. Mac for more details or contact them directly at digitalworks@ethoscmg.com

Grads if you want a yearbook and have not yet paid for one, check the Parkland online payment portal to pay for yours today. We pre-ordered a yearbook for every grad.

Grad lanyards are available, $5.00 each, available at the front office.
