    Marine Science students paddle to Bamberton

    Did you know that Parkland has a year-long outdoor education and marine science program for grade 10s? This program culminates with an overnight canoe trip to Bamberton Provincial Park. Grade 9s who are interested in joining Marine 10 next year should see a school counsellor today!!

    Parkland students learn how to scuba dive and receive their PADI Open Water Dive certification.
    We are so fortunate to live where we do and be able to explore ocean life.

    Kate completes UVic Accelerated Entry Program courses

    Congratulations to Kate Powell for her completing her first UVic courses during her grade 12 year.  This past January, Kate started UVic’s Accelerated Entry Program for high achieving high school students who want to enroll in courses at UVic during high school. Kate started carefully planning her timetable from early in grade ten so that she could get a head start at UVic.

    Parkland Track Team wins again!

    Congratulations to the fabulous Parkland Track and Field team. It was a great day at the City Finals for our athletes!!
    Marie Meyer-Piton ran he PB in winning the 1500 m Steeple chase with a time of 5 min 32 seconds.

    Parkland places at Badminton Cities

    Parkland played well at the Badminton City Championship. Drishti 1st consultation in the grade 9 girls singles, Milky and Logan 1st consultation in boys doubles, and Huan 2nd in boys singles.

    Students take part in TEAC at Camosun

    Sofia, Jacob, Jordyn and Noah are taking part of in a Dual Credit course at Camosun called TEAC 105-Explorations in Technology- on Friday after schools.  The students explore areas in Engineering- Mechanical, Computer, Electrical and Civil with hands on activities.  Here they are doing their Civil Engineering assignments determining the pace and distance around Camosun.  See Ms. McNamee if you are interested.

    Spring Teams ready to play

    Parkland Spring Sports Teams have started their season.

    The Girls Soccer Team opened with a 1-1 tie against St Margaret's, their home games kick off @ 3:45: April 12 vs Belmont  //  April 21 vs Royal Bay  //  April 26 vs Spectrum.

    The Rugby Teams are ready to go too, home games kick off: April 19 Jr Boys @ 3:45 //  April 22 Girls @ 3:00  //  April 29 Girls @ 3:00  //  May 10 Sr Boys @ 3:45. 

    The Track Team has meets every Wednesday afternoon at UVic.
