    Parkland Hockey Academy is proud to announce that Grade 8's from North Saanich Middle School; Grades 9-12 from Stelly's Secondary School and Grades 9-10 from Claremont have joined the Academy since September 2012. If you are attending NSMS, Stelly's or Claremont and are interested in participating in the academy for the 2022 -2023 school year, please contact Mr. Sutton (bsutton@saanichschools.ca) for further information.


  • General Information


    • Parkland Hockey Academy offers hockey skills development both on and off the ice
    • 3 ice sessions and 2 dry land training sessions per week
    • Professional instructors
    • Instruction in fitness, nutrition and leadership.
    • High standards in work ethic
    • 4 credits for Hockey Skills
    • 4 credits for Physical Education 9 or 10 or Fitness and Conditioning 11 or 12
    • The Academy Program

      Parkland's has offered a Hockey Academy since 2008.

      The Hockey Academy students must be registered at Parkland in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12, at NSMS in grade 8 or Stelly's in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12.
      They are 3 on ice sessions per week held at Panorama Recreation Centre.

      The students have PE class (dry land training) 2 times per week at Parkland Secondary or their home school (NSMS or Stelly's).

      The students are transported from Panorama to school by District bus.

      French Immersion Students are encouraged to take the Academy in Semester 1 and French Immersion PHE semester 2.  If you wish to participate in the Academy for the entire year, then please contact Mr. Sutton at bsutton@saanichschools.ca or Mr. Braun at rbraun@saanichschools.ca for discussion of options.

      Students must declare if they are taking the Academy for 1 semester (FI and academic reasons only) on the application, otherwise the family will be responsible for paying the full $1700 regardless of their decision to not continue second semester.
