BC TRANSIT YOUTH PASSES, AND SCHOOL DISTRICT 63 BUS PASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT THE FRONT OFFICE – PLEASE INQUIRE AT BREAK, AT LUNCH, OR AFTER SCHOOL ONLY.

GREEN TEAM MEETING: First meeting today Monday Sept 16 at lunch in Room 104. Anyone interested in helping with environmental initiatives at Parkland is welcome to join us.

All students interested in running CROSS COUNTRY this year need to see Ms. Dibblee at lunch today, Monday Sept 16, in Room 104 to get your forms. Next practice is Tuesday after school at 3:15 p.m.

JOURNALISM CLASS:
Monday after school, from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

Attention all students: If you are interested in swimming for Parkland's swim team, please come to a meeting Tuesday at lunch in Room 114.

REMINDER: AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMIC TUTORIAL will be running every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, starting this week in the Learning Commons.

The VITAL YOUTH TEAM is starting up again – meeting Wednesday Sept 18, in Room 107 at lunch. We need more students! If you like giving money to local charities, this is the group for you!

SIDNEY BLOOD DONOR CLINIC takes place Wed Sept 18 and Thurs Sept 19 at Mary Winspear Centre, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. this week. Donate blood to honour childhood cancer survivors, and to remember those childhood heroes who have lost their lives. Book your appointment to save a life.

COUNSELLOR APPOINTMENTS:
Sign up for appointment with a Counsellor on their office door calendar. If you have to leave class for an appointment, please be sure to let your teacher know.

Very important deadline for students planning to start the Nursing program at UVic.  The nursing program actually starts with 5 semesters at Camosun College.  The application window for  starting at Camosun College on September 2014 is September 30, 2013 to  November 30, 2013.  You will require "B"s or higher  in EN12, Math Foundations 11 or Pre-calculus 11 or Math Pre-calculus 12, Chemistry 11 and Biology 12.
