All students should check this notice board to find out whether there is a message or a pick-up in the front office for them. SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:
Congratulations to the JR girls basketball team for their outstanding performance in their opening tournament. The girls went 3 wins, 1 loss. They won their first two games against Crofton House from Vancouver and Saint Michaels on Friday by big margins. They played one of the top 3 teams in the province, Lord Tweedsmuir from Vancouver Saturday morning, in one of the semi finals. They put up a great fight but wound up losing to the eventual tournament winners. In the second last game of the tournament, the girls played Harry Ainsley from Edmonton and ultimately finished the tournament with a win and the third place trophy. Way to go girls for an awesome start to the season and more hardware for the trophy case. SPECIAL NOTE: the Junior Girls Basketball Team host a Home Game today at 4:15 against St. Michael’s school, the team they beat on the weekend at the Tipoff Tournament. Come out TODAY at 4:15 to CHEER THEM ON!
The Sr. Boys Basketball team hosted a successful tournament this past weekend. They placed sixth against some very strong competition. Congratulations to Godwin Porlares for being named to the All-Star Team. A special thank you to Kiddle, Jerry Chu, Kristy Gallagher, Kate Service the Jr. Boys & Girls Basketball players for scorekeeping.
