SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:
A reminder to all students in the Marine program--we will be meeting in the shop area at lunch today TUESDAY JUNE 16 for a year end celebration of the Marine Program. Come and hear all about the exciting things that have happened in the Marine Program this year and enjoy a piece of pizza too.
We will be distributing Yearbooks starting TODAY, Tuesday, June 16th in the Library Learning Commons.
GRADE 11 and 12s will be at LUNCH
GRADE 9s and 10s will be AFTER SCHOOL
If you have a "clear" account with no missing books,
no overdues, and no fines, then you can come and pick up your yearbook
in the Library Learning Commons TODAY!
Grade 11s and 12s - Please come lineup outside of the Library at Lunch
Grade 9s and 10s - Please come lineup outside of the Library after school
If you cannot make it to pick up your yearbook today, or have outstanding issues with your account, come and see us in the Library later this week for your yearbook.
The Library Learning Commons will be closed to students while we hand out Yearbooks TUESDAY at Lunch and After school.
A reminder to all students registered in any Parkland Marine courses to go to the Drafting room in the Shop area today at lunch for a year end celebration. You don't want to miss this as the event includes free pizza!
During exam week bagels and juice will be on sale from 8:15-8:45 and from 12:15-12:45 daily. A big thank you to the parents for supporting our bagel program!
The Vancouver Island Regional Library is running a Teen Summer Challenge:
“Want to win an iPad Mini? Do you like photography? Playing games? Making your own? Express your creativity by taking on our Teen Summer Challenge. Besides the grand prize there are $50 Chapters gift cards up for grabs! Complete tasks, earn points, do cool stuff and increase your chances. Are you up to the challenge? Ages 13 - 18 years.
Teens can register on the Teen Summer Challenge webpage starting June 15: at virl.bc.ca/teens/challenge.
Next year's
timetables are available for pick-up at front office - before school, at break, at lunch, or after school.
Please review timetable carefully. If there are any problems, pick up a course change form at the office. Sign up on counsellor's door calendar for appointment, AND bring course change form. Forms must be signed by parents.
NOTICE TO ALL GRADS:
1) Grads--the very last day to purchase your tickets for the Dinner/Dance and Aftergrad is Monday June 22nd. Please get your tickets and your guest tickets from Ms. Wigbers in the office.
2) Unless Ms. Chicanot has come to speak with you, all grad guests have all been approved by Ms. Chicanot. Please purchase tickets from Ms. Wigbers and ensure that all guest forms are completed.
3) The last day to drop a course is tomorrow (Wednesday June 17th) Please see a counsellor immediately if you are considering dropping a course.
4) Pick up your FREE GRAD PASS bus ticket at front office.
ALL STUDENTS: please check lost and found. Any items remaining will be donated to charity at the end of school year.

CONGRATULATIONS: The Peninsula Power U16 girls softball team won gold in the district finals on Sunday
and are off to provincials the first weekend in July! They went
undefeated all weekend. Parkland players are Aidan Warner, Alana Dalziel, Mykayla Day,
Taylor Fenton, Breanna Harper, Breanna Harupnuk, Jillian Lawes, Chloe
Satre and Mackenzie Valgardson. GOOD LUCK IN THE PROVINCIALS!
