important notice TO ALL GRADS: PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE PURCHASED YOUR CEREMONY TICKETS FROM UVIC BEFORE FRIDAY - remaining extra tickets will be released next week - DON'T MISS OUT!

A reminder to all students in the Marine Program (Sailing, Marine Sciences, Marine Repair and Restoration) that we will be having our year end event at lunch today in the shop area. Each Marine student is allowed to bring one friend to the event.


NOTE FOR TODAY:  Grads should check the grad bulletin board to ensure that they have all requirements met.

Important information for Grad -  In order to be included on the grad list compiled on June 1st all grads must:
1) be in a passing position in all courses required for graduation
2) be at least 80% complete in any SIDES courses required for graduation
3) have all forms signed and handed in for grad, including GT completion
There will be an important Grad Assembly in D block on Monday June 6th.  Grads will be given their line up placement and we will rehearse entrance and exit to seats in the gym. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT ALL GRADS ATTEND ASSEMBLY.



Grads:  Baby photos for slideshow WERE DUE Tuesday May 31st. Hand them in to Anna or Michaela or send them to: parklandbabyphotos@gmail.com ASAP. 


TUESDAY JUNE 7 - PARKLAND 2016 SPRING DANCE SHOWCASE - also featuring dancers from NSMS  - @ 7 p.m. Parkland Theatre - tickets $5 students, $7 adults - available at Parkland office, or by phone, 250-655-2736. No reserved seating. 


SENCOTEN CLUB NOW HAPPENING: every Friday from 1:45 to 3 p.m., in Room 200 - everyone welcome!


SATURDAY JUNE 4 FROM 10 A.M. TO 12:30 P.M. - SHRED FEST TO SUPPORT FORT MCMURRAY - BRING YOUR PAPERS FOR CONFIDENTIAL SHREDDING - donation $10 per box - banker's box size, @ Keating Elementary School, this Saturday. Send some help for those friends and families affected by the fires in Fort McMurrary area.

INTER-CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF GREATER VICTORIA invites all immigrant and refugee youth, ages 13 to 18 years, to Juan de Fuca trail exploration, and Mystic Beach overnight camping - July 2016 - make some new friends, and enjoy outdoor experiences! GODSPELL: presented by VICTORIA YOUTH MUSICAL THEATRE COMPANY - @ Ridge Playhouse, Claremont Secondary School, Thursday June 9 and Friday June 10, 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, and available at the door. Parkland students are in this one!


CYCLE OF HOPE ALS FUNDRAISER - FREQUENT FLYER 10 K: Sunday June 12 from 11 to 2 - includes RUN AND SWIM EVENTS ON MAY 13. Students register for CYCLE OF HOPE EVENT at www.cycleofhope.com, & must register by May 25 to get school name on participant shirt.

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards  available at front office -  help GRAD 2016 CLASS. Pick up card, load at any Thrifty's,  shop and pay with Smile Card - Thrifty donates 5% from each member card - Grads 2016 thank Thrifty's, and all our supporters.

SEASIDE MAGAZINE: TAKING IT TO THE STREET ROAD HOCKEY CHARITY EVENT FOR HELP FILL A DREAM FOUNDATION: 

@ Mary Winspear Centre - Saturday, June 11th, 2016 -  3rd Annual “Taking it to the Street”. Proceeds provide services and support to Vancouver Island children facing life-threatening conditions by fulfilling their Dreams. Fun volunteer positions including: registration, traffic, family fun, set-up, referree, cotton candy, groundskeeper, event marshall. See Ms. McNamee to VOLUNTEER.
