ALL STUDENTS: dear Santa: PARKLAND SPIRIT WEAR is ON SALE all week! PICK UP Order forms available at front office counter. Cash, cheque or credit card accepted; samples on display! Put in your order, and we will fill it for you by the end of the day!

Any student wanting help with their English course work can go to the Learning Centre (room 204) at lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Staffed by retired English Teacher. Please see Ms. Chicanot with any questions.

HOCKEY FANS NOTE: free student ticket coupons available (to be combined with one adult ticket purchase) to VICTORIA ROYALS games - for December 27 and 28 - PICK UP AT FRONT OFFICE.

CHRISTMAS BREAK BEGINS DECEMBER 16, 2016, and everyone returns to school, NEXT YEAR - TUESDAY JANUARY 3, 2017!

If you're a S.T.E.M. superstar and interested in a $80,000 or $100,000 scholarship, see Mr. Choo about the application process to  be selected as Parkland's nominee for the Schulich Leader STEM scholarship.  Deadline for applying to Parkland is Friday, January 20th so get your info from Mr. Choo and work on your application during the break. Past nominee's names can be seen on the Schulich plaque in the awards display case.

SUBMIT ORIGINAL "SAFETY AT WORK" VIDEO, AND WIN A CASH PRIZE: WorkSafe B.C. looking for creative video productions that explore the topic of speaking up for safety at work. Open to all students, grades 8 to 12. One video forwarded to national competition. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Tuesday March 28, 2017. JAZZ BAND - Monday and Wednesday; 7 a.m.; CONCERT BAND - Tuesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.; CHOIR - Friday, 7 a.m. ALL REHEARSALS TAKE PLACE IN THE MUSIC ROOM.

MATH HELP CENTRE:
Monday and Wednesday after school: 3 to 4 p.m., Rm 201; and Thursday morning before school - 7:15 to 8:15 Rm 112.


ENGLISH HELP CENTRE:
Starting December 6 - The English Help Centre will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at lunch in the Learning Centre (room 204), staffed by a retired English teacher. Please see Ms. Chicanot if you have any questions about this.


MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: Times available and rules for use TBA; OR INQUIRE WITH P.E. teachers.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORIAL:
TUTORIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL - except Mondays - TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOL, in the Learning Centre Room 204.
