ALL GRADS - your Grad photo retake day has been changed to next Thursday, January 12. Please log into Lifetouch.ca to book an appointment if you need one.

ALL GRADS: STUDENTS INTENDING TO GRADUATE JUNE 2017 ARE REMINDED - your GT qualifying 30 HOURS WORK EXPERIENCE OR VOLUNTEER TIME is needed BEFORE GT is completed. If you have paperwork to hand in, please see
Ms. McNamee in Career Centre, and get this part of your GT done!

Parkland's Musical Theatre Program is excited to announce the upcoming show of "Guys and Dolls" running from WEDNESDAY February 1 TO  SATURDAY, Feb. 4, 2017!   Tickets are $14 each (reserved seating). Purchase tickets from Mrs. Wigbers at the front office or by calling 250-655-2736 with a credit card to reserve. Look on the website or posters throughout the school for more information.  Don't delay!  Parkland Musicals always sell out!

If you're a S.T.E.M. superstar and interested in a $80,000 or $100,000 scholarship, see Mr. Choo about the application process to  be selected as Parkland's nominee for the Schulich Leader STEM scholarship.  Deadline for applying to Parkland is Friday, January 20th. Past nominee's names can be seen on the Schulich plaque in the awards display case.

GREAT WEEK last week IN BASKETBALL:
Parkland's JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL team took down Vic HIgh in a close game with a lot of exciting end to end action - final score, Parkland 43 to 38.

SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL soundly defeated SMU with excellent team defense and an impressive fast break - Parkland girls won by over 30 points, and is standiing with 5 victories so far this season!

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL were just edged by Belmont in a thrilling game decided by a last second shot - final score, 73 to 70 for the visiting Bulldogs.

A local Pet Hospital will be looking for an employee for the summer to do: GENERAL CLEANING; VET TECH ASSISTANT.

If you have any interest in being a Vet Tech or a Veterinarian this would be a fabulous summer job.  Never to early to think about the summer. See Ms. McNamee ASAP!

Open to students in Grades 9–12, March Break camps feature hands-on workshops led by experienced professionals in 3D Animation + VFX, Acting, Makeup, Digital Design, Film Production, Writing or Game Design + Programming.

SUBMIT ORIGINAL "SAFETY AT WORK" VIDEO, AND WIN A CASH PRIZE: WorkSafe B.C. looking for creative video productions that explore the topic of speaking up for safety at work. Open to all students, grades 8 to 12. One video forwarded to national competition. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Tuesday March 28, 2017.
