ROTARY CLUB OF SIDNEY APPLICATIONS DUE FOR: Adventures in Technology Camp - takes place in Saskatoon April 23 to April 28 - explore advanced technology, research, development and applications. Student registration and travel costs will be paid by Sidney Rotary Club. See front foyer notice board for further information, and request application form from front office. Application must be submitted by: March 14, 2017.

PUBLISHING OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS: NEW MAGAZINE - FLOCK - looking for submissions for second issue on Self-Care and Community Support.  See Career Centre posters for website, including information on payment of $25 each for art and literature contributions!

EARLY BIRD DEADLINE TOMORROW FOR TIMES COLONIST 10 K: Registration now open. Early bird registration only $30 before Feb 28th DEADLINE. Race is on Sunday, April 30th. Parkland students and staff are encouraged to register online at www.tc10k.ca to be part of the Parkland Pant'ers School Team.

ALL GRADS ARE REMINDED: GT PACKAGES FIRST DEADLINE - MARCH 10 - better sooner than later! Hand in your completed, proofread, printed booklets to front office!

Any students planning to write the S.A.T. this school year can contact Mr. Choo about a $150 discount on a S.A.T. prep course that starts on April 8th at St Michael's University School.

d. MONDAY MARY 8 - from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - ALERT EMERGENCY FIRST-AID with CPR - hands-on first aid training. See Ms. McNamee for registration information.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES COMING UP:

VINTAGE WEDDING DRESS FASHION SHOW: 10 models are needed for this fun fundraiser. If you ever wanted to try modeling, this will be a great experience. Takes place May 28 - see Ms. McNamee for further information.

SUBMIT ORIGINAL "SAFETY AT WORK" VIDEO, AND WIN A CASH PRIZE: WorkSafe B.C. looking for creative video productions that explore the topic of speaking up for safety at work. Open to students, grades 8 to 12. One video forwarded to national competition. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Tuesday March 28, 2017. MATH HELP CENTRE:
Monday and Wednesday after school: 3 to 4 p.m., Rm 201; and Thursday morning before school - 7:15 to 8:15 IN Rm 112.


ENGLISH HELP CENTRE:   Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at lunch in the Learning Centre (room 204), staffed by a retired English teacher. Please see Ms. Chicanot if you have any questions about this.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORIAL:
   TUTORIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL - except Mondays - TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOL, in the Learning Centre Room 204.


MUSIC REHEARSALS ALL YEAR:
JAZZ BAND - Monday and Wednesday; 7 a.m.; CONCERT BAND - Tuesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.; CHOIR - Friday, 7 a.m. ALL REHEARSALS TAKE PLACE IN THE MUSIC ROOM.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, before school, at the BLUE TABLES area.
