SheBiz Victoria:
SheBiz is a free day-long event for girls in grades 9 – 11 that offers unique access to business and STEM leaders, and exposure to diverse and exciting career opportunities available to women in these fields.. Stats Canada has reported that female high school students earn better grades in the STEM subjects than their male counterparts, but then when we look ahead females are underrepresented in these programs in university and later the workforce. As an organization SheBiz is hoping to help bridge this gap by providing young girls with information on careers in business, science, technology and math before they make the big decisions effecting their future education and career. SheBiz Victoria will be held at St. Margaret’s School on November 17th, 2017. See Ms. McNamee if interested!
