As part of Parkland's National Aboriginal Day celebrations this month, we will be selling Fried Bread in the foyer every Wednesday at lunch. Pieces are $2 each or you may bring in a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank. If you do not want the bread but still want to donate, you can still come by to pay it forward for someone else!

1)  IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL PARKLAND ATHLETES (INCLUDING ALL ATHLETES WHO PLAYED A SPORT FOR PARKLAND THIS YEAR):

There will be a short but informative meeting this coming Wednesday June 6th in the Parkland Gym to discuss our upcoming Athletic Banquet on MondayJune 18th - please make sure you spread the word and get as many players & coaches from your team to attend!

2)  Reminder to all those students interested in signing up for Sport Performance Basketball Morning Class next year:

You need to have your applications in to either Mrs. Beaucamp or Mr. Buckham by this coming FridayJune 8th; if you still need an application, please come the the main office to ask for one.


CONGRATS TO THE SMALL BUT MIGHTY PARKLAND TRACK AND FIELD TEAM! They did amazing at the B.C.'s! Misaki Akutagawa  placed 4th in Javelin for Senior Girls - a fantastic season for Misaki, she is a joy to watch! Ben Sammons placed 8th in the Senior Boys 200 metres, setting a personal best in the heats to qualify for finals. Ben then placed 10th in the 400 metres - his last time racing for Parkland - we will miss his talent and quiet amazing personality. Cooper Langard was awesome in distance - 13th in 1500 metre; 17th in 3000 metre, with a huge field, mostly grade 12's. Big things to come next year, Cooper! Alexis Van den Bulk, after singing Friday night at Sidfest, place 14 out of 30 throwers in Discus. Parkland Track & Field Team's future is bright!

1. ROOM 201, EACH DAY FOR 1 HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, with Mr. Morley - available to help with MATH, CALCULUS, SCIENCE, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY. OPEN to all students, including those working on SIDES courses.

2. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE: REMINDER TO ALL TEACHERS AND STUDENTS - TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school.    Wednesday & Friday tutorial times are best for longer tests & assignments.
3. LEARNING COMMONS SUPPORT: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday day after school until 3:40 p.m., Wednesday & Friday until 3:35 p.m.
