CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES EVENT: CUE will be held @ Stelly's School next Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 25. Over forty Canadian universities will have recruiters available to answer student's questions about admission requirements, programs, scholarships, accommodation, etc. Parkland will be arranging for one school bus to take students to Stelly's at 12:30 p.m., and return at 1:45 p.m. Contact MR. CHOO for details and consent forms ASAP!


FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 21 and SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 22: UVIC VIKES take over Parkland Gym! MEN'S EXHIBITION INTRA-SQUAD game at 7 p.m. on Saturday Sept 22! Entry: $2 students; $5 adults. Proceeds go to CANCER RESEARCH FUNDS, for Tour de Rock, and Cops for Cancer. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends - enjoy some great basketball action and support an extremely worthy cause!

PAC Volunteer Opportunities: Parents and Guardians - we need your help! Volunteering is a great way to connect with the school, students and staff. And it’s lots of fun too : )


Spirit BBQ - Friday Oct 5 - approximately  10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Help with serving lunch to our students and staff.

Bagel Breakfasts - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 7:30 - 8:15 a.m. Duties include: minimal set- up, collecting payment of 25 cents!, and a quick tidy up.  Even helping one shift a month would be super, thank you!!!

(2) WORKBC JOB FAIR - THURSDAY OCTOBER 18, from 1 to 4 p.m., @ Central Baptist Church, 833 Pandora at Blanshard. (1) SHOAL CENTRE DINING ROOM SERVER, ON CALL - food safe and first aid required; for weekend and weekdays, including evenings. $17 per hour. If you do not have food safe and first aid, you can still apply and take the YEP course!

(3) LOCAL AND SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS STUDENT GREETERS JOB POSTING: for Saturday October 20, 2018 - $100 for six hour shift; either 8 to 2, or 2 to 8. Students are required to attend one hour training previous; $20 compensation for training time. Applications are due TODAY Friday: September 21, 4 p.m., See Ms. McNamee for details.
