ALL GRADS: AS PART OF YOUR QUALIFICATION FOR GRAD TRANSITIONS, AND 2019 GRADUATION, YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED the HOURS, and the PAPERWORK FOR: Work Experience, 30 Hours Work Experience, or 30 Hours Volunteering. If you have not yet started your 30 HOURS, see Ms. McNamee or Ms. Ford in the Career Centre for information, the correct forms, AND GET STARTED!

2019 STUDENT SAFETY VIDEO CONTEST: Submit your video on keeping young workers safe, and win a cash prize! Bonus prize - aspiring filmmaker award! Deadline for original video production: FRIDAY MARCH 22, 2019. See front foyer board for further information.

ZONTA'S "YOUNG WOMEN IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS AWARD" is accepting applications from women that are 16 to 19 years old, committed to volunteerism and experience in local government. Deadline for $2000 first place, and $1000 second place, award is Thursday January 31, 2019. Email or meet with Mr. Choo for details and the application form.

NEW JOBS:

BRACKENHURST FARM POSITION: Farmhand position; family dairy farm has been on othe peninsula for over 85 years. Work includes feeding calves, cleaning pens, maintaining a clean work environment.  You will be working with and around large animals and heavy machinery. Ability to work independently is an asset. Starting @ 8 hours per week, from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. More hours available for advancement; minimum wage. FAIRWAYS MARKET: part-time job opening in local grocery store. Take current resume in to Sidney Fairway, and ask for Store Manager. You may get on-the-spot interview! See Ms. McNamee asap for further information.


GARDEN AND YARDWORK, west of airport. Approximately 4 hours per workday, part-time, $13 per hour. Great opportunity for student; last Parkland student had this job for over two years! Can be heavy work, so student should be fit! See Ms. McNamee for further details.


SAANICH - BEAVERBROOK DRIVE - yardwork for two students; every Saturday including grass cutting, weeding, odd jobs, or light housework. Seven hours per week, $15 per hour, starts February 26. See Ms. McNamee for further details.
