AUDITIONS THIS WEEK: Parkland's 2019 SHOWCASE has arrived! It will take place Thursday May 2 in the evening in the Parkland Theatre. If you want your work and/or talent showcased, audition dates are: 15th, and 16th, at lunch, in the theatre. Submissions can include comedy sketches, drama performances, singing, dancing, visual arts, music, etc! ALL TALENTS ARE WELCOME, but please make sure your act is school appropriate! Application forms for the Parkland Internal Scholarships are now available from Mr. Choo. The deadline is Friday May 5th so either email or meet with Mr. Choo in the next few days to find out how you qualify for up to $1500. Most of these scholarships are for accomplishments in non-academic areas including sports, fine arts, trades, second languages and community service. Mr. Choo will host a meeting on Tuesday at lunchtime in Mr. Roome's math classroom to clarify the application process. These scholarships are only for Canadian students.
BEACON COMMUNITY SERVICES offers up to 4 scholarships of $1500 each to graduating students who show dedication to community service / volunteerism. Applications due: May 1, 2019. See Career Centre board for web address.
