 ***PARKLAND SPRING FOOD DRIVE THIS WEEK ONLY: please bring your contribution of goods or cash in for Spring Food Drive!


 *** REMINDER ALL GRADS: if you still have GRAD TRANSITIONS PAPERWORK OR GRAD PACKAGE FORMS to bring in, please do so BEFORE YOUR GRAD ASSEMBLY. You are NOT QUALIFIED FOR GRADUATION until all the paperwork is in! NEW SPREADSHEETS GO UP TODAY AFTER BLOCK 3 GRAD ASSEMBLY - IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS HANDED IN!

7TH ANNUAL SIDFEST: MAY 24, 2019 @ MARY WINSPEAR CENTRE - tickets $10 available from Parkland school office, or any of the musicians. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show at 7:30. THIS SHOW SELLS OUT - get your tickets early! Musicians this year include: BANKES BROTHERS, BLISH, MADRONA DRIVE, MANGO PARADE, ALEXIS VAN DEN BULK; SLOW DAYS; CLAYTON HARRIS; NICOLE GLOVER. All proceeds to to the SAANICH PENINSULA YOUTH HEALTH CLINIC!

SIDNEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SPRING FLING - May 24, 2019 - 5 to 8 p.m. - volunteers needed for school community event. See Ms. McNamee for further information, and shift availability times.


VOLUNTEER FOR CULTURE DAY 2019 - Victoria Multi-cultural Association looking for student volunteers for Culture Day, Saturday May 25. Celebrate multi-culturalism with performances and food from different countries. See Ms. McNamee !


BRENTWOOD FESTIVAL - SATURDAY JUNE 1, 2019 - FROM 9 A.M. TO 4 P.M. @ Pioneer Park - 4 students needed each shift; volunteers for this fun family event - artisans, concerns, farm stands, children's activities, face painting and crafts. See Ms. McNamee for details.


KELSET ELEMENTARY SPRING FUNDRAISER: FRIDAY JUNE 7 - volunteers needed for carnival games, face painting, craft tables, ticket booths and more. Fair runs from from 5 to 8 p.m., but set up and clean up crews also needed. See Ms. McNamee to volunteer.


TOWN OF SIDNEY COMIC CON - SUNDAY JUNE 9 - volunteers needed for front door, games room, cosplay contest, set up and take down - orientation, volunteer ID, lunch or dinner provided - see Ms. McNamee to sign up!


STEP UP YOUTH PROGRAM: DEADLINE TO APPLY JUNE 30, 2019. Volunteer opportunities in various healthcare settings - learn about Island Health's C.A.R.E. values, policies, patient-centred care. Interview in July, train in August, for September to April position. Volunteer  in leadership roles, across Vancouver Island - @ Royal Jubilee, and Victoria General. Anyone interested in healthcare should apply!


ENGINEERING FOR KIDS - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES from July 2 to August 30 - summer camps for kids interested in science, engineering, math or technology - enjoy hands-on working with, building minecraft / lego robotics / 3D design. See Ms. McNamee for on-line volunteer application and engineering for kids website. Camps as: Saanich Commonwealth Pool; Panorama Recreation; others.

1. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE, ROOM 204:  SUPERVISED TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school, TO CATCH UP ON SCHOOL WORK, & TO WRITE MISSED TESTS.  note: Wednesday & Friday tutorials are best for longer tests & assignments. 

2. TUTORIALS IN THE LEARNING COMMONS: every day after school.

3. AFTER SCHOOL FRENCH: Room 112, Wednesdays after school.
