PARKLAND DAILY NEWS: FRIDAY MARCH 13, 2020 ~ last day before Spring Break


***ALL GRADE 12'S - GRAD CLC 12 PACKAGE IS OVER DUE -  Be sure to fully answer the questions; one paragraph minimum, explain your plans and experiences. Also: WEX OR 30 HOUR WORK OR VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE forms must be completed, and copies handed in. You must have all your paperwork handed in to qualify for CLE interview, and for your graduation!

Get your kids KIDOVATING this spring break! Kidovate is a fun, free youth entrepreneurship initiative of UVIC's Gustavson School of Business. Kidovate aims to develop entrepreneurial spirit and acumen by encouraging local youth to make and then sell their goods or services on Kidovate Market Day. This year's market will be held Saturday April 4 at the Bay Centre. There is no cost to participate, and there are lots of resources available to help participants be successful. Check out website: kidovate.ca

LADIES ADVANCING DIVERSITY IN INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT (LADI) invites female high school students to attend an event FRIDAY APRIL 24 @ 750 Pandora from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., free of charge, including lunch and snacks! This event is designed to inspire female high school students to consider a career in finance. BALANCING OUR MINDS: Community Youth Summit - Thursday May 7, 2020 - from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Ecole Secondarie Esquimalt. One day free event focused on youth mental health - increase knowledge about mental health and substance use; build awareness of mental health; decrease stigma toward individuals experiencing metal challenges; generate ideas to promote mental health and wellness in your school community.
