Tomorrow (Friday Oct 16th) is DOUBLE DENIM day!! Everyone is encouraged to wear jeans, jean shirts and jean jackets. Show some school spirit and wear your denim!

Although we will not be hosting our traditional, annual Terry Fox Run this year at Parkland, students are still encouraged to get out and complete the run on their own and/or donate to our school’s fundraising page. Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarships offers a $5000 scholarship for a student with critical financial need (ie. $65,000 or less annual nets income per family) Deadline to apply is October 26, 2020. See Mr. Choo.
Mr. Choo will post scholarship information on "Admission & Scholarships 2020-2021" Google Classroom. Check periodically. Read the criteria and instructions carefully and observe deadlines stringently. Information about each scholarship will be provided and the relevant application form will be attached.

Are you interested in running? Would you like to be part of the Parkland Cross Country Team this year? The first race is this week, and it is a timed 3K or 5.5K run that you complete on your own and submit the times to the league. YOUTH AT THE BOOTH ELECTION WORKERS - Interested in working as an election official on Saturday, October 24? Participants can earn at least $350 for attending training and working a full day Youth at the Booth is Elections BC’s program to hire high school students as election officials in the 2020 Provincial General Election.

After School Math Tutorial Now Running (Virtually!)
Former Parkland Student and UVic math degree holder Chloe Hegland will be hosting extra-help sessions for math after school on Wednesdays from 2:15 to 3:30. Students will need their own device and Zoom account to join, but can do so from the comfort of their home. Drop in once you are home after school whenever you need help working through problems, require a mini review lesson, or want help studying for a test. The credentials to join are:
