Thursday, February 3, 2022 ~  Semester 2 

Semester 2 began Monday.  Please make sure you are happy with your timetable. Students must attend all their classes today, then if necessary make an appointment with a counsellor if you need to change courses. Ms. Anderson - grades 9 & 10  Mr. Choo - grades 11 & 12.

Musical Theatre Performance Update. All three Musical Theatre performances of Cinderella will be virtual (Feb 2, Feb 3 & Feb 4). We were all hoping for a change in the current restrictions on spectators, however, no new announcements have been made and the current health and safety restrictions remain in place. We are not allowed to have a live audience.

Anyone who purchased a ticket for a live performance is welcome to a refund, or if you are able, forgo the refund as a donation to our program. The company we are working with to perform via livestream is not affiliated with Parkland, and therefore we cannot transfer your purchased ticket to a livestream ticket. They are a separate entity. We can promise a fun and delightful show, though! There are two acts and each is approximately one hour long. There will be a 15 minute intermission to allow our cast to change costumes, and the crew to change sets.
Creating a production during a pandemic has been an emotional feat, and we are so pleased that we can still share our hard work with our community. We thank you for your support of the Fine Arts at Parkland Secondary School. Thank you for supporting our Musical Theatre Program!

Youth Health Clinic is every Thursday night 5:30-7:30 @ Shoreline Medical Clinic.

The PAC Breakfast Program will be Thursday's and Friday's 7:45-8:20.  Baked goods and juice boxes available.  .25 cents per item.

Just a reminder that student drop off/pick up is in the parking lot by the tennis courts. Or you can use the bus loop.

Interested in Judo? For anyone interested in joining the Parkland Judo Club there is a meeting today after school in Room 211. The club is a great way to be introduced to Judo in a safe and controlled environment. No experience necessary. Everyone welcome.

SKILLS CANADA - Let's showcase our Parkland Talent - Secondary Students (grades 9 - 12) can learn, compete, and showcase their skills in trades, Public Speaking, Photography, internet design, graphic design, work safety, job skills and so much more!! . Competitions will be hosted online, at their local high school, or at Camosun Interurban campus. See Ms. McNamee if you are interested!!!!
