Saturday was the Spring Sailing League Regatta at Royal Victoria Yacht Club. It was the first time Parkland, Stelly's, and Bayside have participated in it. The students have been practicing twice a week since the beginning of April at the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club. The program led by the yacht club was excellent as was their support of all the students. The student have been sailing in Optis (small single sail, single-handed dinghies), and 420s (a larger main sail and jib, two-person dinghies). All of the peninsula schools practiced together.
