ATTENTION ALL BOYS SOCCER PLAYERS: There is a very important meeting TODAY September 23 at lunch in Room 114. All players must attend.

GREEN TEAM MEETING: TODAY September 23 in Room 104 at lunch. If you are interested in the environment and want to help make your school, community, and the world a better place – this is the club for you. New members always welcome!

Lovers of literature! Closet poets & outspoken authors! The Sidney Literary Festival is almost here. The weekend of Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th, you have the opportunity to be a part of some incredible workshops with published authors, & to attend inspiring public readings.
You can also submit your original work to a WRITING CONTEST. Three categories: for age 16 to 18 – topics : Conflicts; Relationships; Divided Loyalties; Song or Ode to Sidney. Or Choose Your Own Topic! Prizes include gift certificates to Tanners, 3rd Street Cafe and Toast! See Ms. Rioux in Room 170 any day after school for more info. Submit entries to Ms. Rioux at Parkland. DEADLINE: Friday September 27, 2013.

BC TRANSIT YOUTH PASSES, & SD 63 BUS PASSES NOW AVAILABLE AT FRONT OFFICE – PLEASE INQUIRE AT BREAK, LUNCH, OR AFTER SCHOOL ONLY.

All INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS please go to International office to pick up your BC TRANSIT YOUTH PASSES.

BAGEL BREAKFAST: MORNING BAGELS & JUICE Tuesday & Thursday each week, upper mezzanine, near the blue tables, each item 25 cents each.

AFTER SCHOOL LEARNING SUPPORT: starts next week – Wednesday and Friday, Room 115, after school.

REMINDER: AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMIC TUTORIAL will be running every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, in the Learning Commons.

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:
Congratulations to Chloe Hegland for her win at the first cross country meet of the season! The next running practice is Monday after school @ 3:15. New team members are always welcome.

Parkland Senior Bous played very well this Weekend winning their pool on Friday and finishing 3rd in pool play Saturday. They won their quarter-final over Lambrick, semi-final over Ucluelet, and lost a close final to Woodlands. Great achievement all round!
