In spite of monsoons, Parkland rowers performed very well at the annual Crabfest Regatta. 12 high schools competed so there was strong competition in every category. The Junior Novice Women's 8 came in 3rd place against some very tough competitors. The Junior Novice Men's rowers did really well, & earned a 2nd place finish in men's quad for 500 meter sprint. The advanced crews rowed a 2 kilometre timed head race & Parkland earned 1st place finish in the men's quad, & 3rd place finish in the women's 8.
Congratulations to all the rowers – well done! Look out for these crews at the next regetta on October 18 to 20 at Elk Lake!
