GRAD WINTER SOCIAL takes place December 5. TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE AT FRONT OFFICE, $35 EACH. If you have prepaid for dance ticket, please come and pick up this week.

Are you interested in taking yoga for credit? Now you can! Parkland is offering a 2 credit yoga course on Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 7 to 8:10 am starting on November 19th. Please see Ms. Dibblee for more info or see a counsellor to sign up.

ALL GRADS should now have BOOKED GRAD PHOTOS ON-LINE: GRAD PHOTOS START Thursday Nov 21. Go to:  www.lifetouch.ca/Victoria then: to “book your appointment here”; select PARKLAND. Create email, password to complete your booking.

OSEF FRANCE – CANADA exchange – Meeting for students interested in reciprocal exchange with a European family, for either 4 or 11 weeks, please attend meeting WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 27 at 6:30 p.m., @ Stelly's Secondary School. See website: www.osef.ca for further program information.

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:

All Junior & Senior Girls wanting to play BASKETBALL – meeting at lunch WED November 13 in the gym. If you want to play, you must attend.

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL open gym on Wednesday November 13, and Thursday November 14 at 7 p.m.

Notice to all Junior Boys BASKETBALL players: Team List is posted on the window of the entrance to the main office. Please check list respectfullly, considering it is our main office! This week's practices will be Thursday November 14 @ 6:45 a.m., & Friday November 15 @ 2:30 p.m.

Congratulations to the Sr Boys VOLLEYBALL TEAM who finished second in the Lower Island AA championships last week. Parkland beat Pacific Christian in a well fought match in the semi-final but lost the final to Lambrick.  PANTHERS play against two top AAA teams last Friday night and also play in the Island championships this weekend.

Horatio Alger Jim Pattison B.C. Scholarship: $5000 for those starting at post secondary institutions no later than fall 2014. Applicant must have demonstrated integrity, perseverance overcoming adversity, with critical financial need, & minimum grade percentage of 65%. Deadline: Dec 1st, 2013. ROYAL OAK MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNUAL GIFT SALE AND CHRISTMAS FAIR:
Saturday December 7 from 10 a.m. To 3 p.m. - Artists, Artisans, Crafts, Specialty Foods & Silent Auction; Canteen open for lunch. All proceeds to Royal Oak Middle School.
