SEMESTER TWO BEGINS TODAY

Congratulations to Mr. Pires – retiring today after 27 years @ PARKLAND!

Meeting today at lunch for ALL PEER HELPERS AND STUDENT'S COUNCIL MEMBERS who are interested in helping out with SPRIRIT DAY activites next Tuesday, Room 100.

TODAY IS LAST DAY for Early Bird registration for TC 10K this April. Register online as part of the Parkland Panthers team for only $25 by FRIDAY January 31- includes team shirt, 10K of running fun & post race snacks. More info, please see Ms. Dibblee.

Congratulations to the school badminton doubles champions - Tier I - Brian and Aaron and Tier II - Gracie and Yufei.

PARKLAND SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL finished 5th overall in Hugh McRoberts Tournament in Richmond recently. Game 1: Parkland 57, Okanagan Mission 49, with Harrison Archdekin as player of the game, and Godwin Porlares high scorer. Game 2: Parkland 31, David Thompson 75, Russell Bennett player of the game. Game 3: Parkland 55, Byrne Creek 97; player of the game Bryce Isfeld. This tournament was a great experience, with very tough competition for Parkland from teams ranked much higher in the province. All the boys handled themselves really well through the weekend; Parkland should be very proud of the way our Senior Boys Basketball team is representing our school!Congratulations to the whole team!

Peninsula Box Lacrosse Registration is open for the 2014 season at www.penlax.com.  Assessments will take place in a few weeks and the season starts up after spring break.  Open to players aged 5-16...come out and play the fastest game on two feet!
