Congratulations to Melissa Rickson who won a "Hearts of the Community" award yesterday for all her volunteer work over the years both at Parkland and in the community.  Congratulations Melissa!

Congratulations to Colin Bishop and Alex Dombroski who have been chosen by the Sidney Sister Cities Association to visit our sister city of Cairns Australia this summer.  We look forward to your presentation when you return!

International Students: Whistler Ski trip is filling up fast, please get your registration in this week to avoid being disappointed.

GRAD FASHION MEETING THURSDAY FEB 27 AT LUNCH IN THE THEATRE!

Parkland Track and Field team's first meeting: Thursday Feb 27 @ lunch, Room 210. New & experienced athletes welcome. Track & Field has an event for everyone, so come to the meeting!

UVic will have an advisor available at Parkland on Thursday, February 27th from 9:30 to 11:30. Appointment sheet is now available on Mr. Choo's door for you to sign up..

Thursday February 27th Parkland hosting 3rd Annual Open House. Entire families are encouraged to attend: many activities for younger students including the huge inflatable obstacle course from Panorama. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbours to come, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.!

 Jr. Boys Basketball Update:
Good luck to our Jr Boys Basketball team who qualified to play in the first round of the Lower Island playoffs starting today at Spencer Middle school at 5:45pm!  The boys have practiced long and hard this season to get to this point, and with any luck they can continue their winning ways: GO PANTHERS!!

The Junior Girls BBaLL  Team tasted victory for the first time this season in their 54-30 win over Edward Milne Secondary School on Tuesday at Cities. They play again today (Wednesday) at 5:45 pm at St. Margarets school. A win in today’s game will put the Panthers in The Championship game on Thursday. Good Luck Girls!
 
All Girls interested in playing soccer for Parkland this year, please see Ms. Dibblee asap to sign up and show your commitment. Try-outs will run next week TUESDAY March 4  and THURSDAY March 6 from 3:15 to 5. Bring your runners & your cleats.
