October 1 – CANADIAN LIBRARY AND WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH!

TODAY THERE WILL BE A SPIRIT AND RECOGNITION ASSEMBLY FOR ALL STUDENTS IN B BLOCK. Classes will be called down in order. Wear your PARKLAND gear! Right after the assembly, the PARENTS are sponsoring the FALL BBQ LUNCH. All students are welcome!

MONDAY OCTOBER 13 IS THANKSGIVING DAY – Happy thanksgiving everyone! – NO SCHOOL Monday! See you Tuesday!

BOATING BASICS COURSE is offered by CANADIAN POWER AND SAIL SQUADRON @ Parkland, Tuesday evenings, beginning Tues October 14 at 7 p.m., for 3 evenings, with review & exam on final night – October 28. OSEF EUROPEAN SUMMER EXCHANGE applications are now open. Please check the website www.osef.ca for upcoming info meetings. Applications accepted, until April, for July and August 2015 exchange trips.See front office window & announcement board .

Parkland Sr. Boys Volleyball team plays in the VIU TOURNAMENT this coming weekend, October 11 and 12.  Wish them luck!

The University of Toronto will have a recruiter today at Parkland -  this Friday morning only. Please sign up with Mr. Choo if you're interested in a private consultation with the U of T recruiter.

The LORAN scholarship is now available for students with an 85% average and have demonstrated extraordinary character, service, and leadership. The LORAN is valued at up to $100,000 with a school deadline of October 17th.  See Mr. Choo for details of this $100,000 scholarship.
