Camosun College: offering free courses to high school students starting in January. Earn dual credits in: Music, Business, Technology, Childcare & Nursing. Deadline to apply: Dec 1. Please see Ms. Anderson in the counselling office for more details.

OSEF OVERSEAS EUROPEAN EXCHANGE MEETING – Wednesday November 26, 6:30 p.m., @ Stelly's, in the library. Nine or eleven week exchange with travel to France,   and exchange visitors coming from Europe summer 2015.An exciting way to participate in a reciprocal exchange with a European student and family. KNITTING FOR THE HOMELESS: Living homeless is a hard reality. Know how to knit, or want to learn? Join us  - Thursdays @ lunch, in RM 212. Help warm the homeless!

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM: After beating Claremont soundly in straight sets in their first matches, the girls battled through adversity, going down in the first game against PCS ... but they managed to battle back & win the next two sets to take home the trophy!  Way to go girls, you played your hearts out to earn the title of Lower Island Champions: well done Panthers!!

FEMALE BOX LACROSSE INTRO SESSIONS: Sun Nov 23, Sat Dec 13. NO CONTACT BUT FAST PACED GAME! Equipment provided at open sessions. Vancouver Island Female League starting this year. Questions and registration: penlax.registrar@gmail.com

Intramural Volleyball Finals
Congratulations to Ethan's team who won the Tier II Intramural volleyball championships over Rhys' team in the final.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Teachers who won an incredibly cloe final over Steve Erhlich's team in the Gold Medal Tier 1 Intramural Volleyball Championships.

Good luck to the SENIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL TEAM who are competing in the Island Championships today and Saturday.

McGill University will have a recruiter at Parkland on Tuesday, November 25th from 9:30 to 10:30 to meet with students.  Please see Mr. Choo to sign up for an appointment.

Congratulations to the following students for their food safe course completion thorugh YEP community courses: Annika Franke, Ralfs Lejnieks, Kennedy Guryn, Emma Van Wyk, Erin Pomphrey!

NEW YEP COURSES AND RETAIL TRAINING: Sundays x 4, starting December 14, to January 4. Certificate program and training in: cash register, cash count, customer service, creating displays, sorting inventory, pricing, opening and closing. See Ms. McNamee to sign up.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES COMING UP: Breakfast with Santa (November 22), Saanich Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Bazaar (November 22),  Christmas Dinner at Shoal Centre (December 10), Christmas Village Lions Lunchbox (December 5 to 7, and December 12 to 14).
Exciting chances to help out in the community heading into the Christmas season – see Ms. McNamee as soon as possible to get involved. Volunteer hours can go toward GT credits for graduation qualification, a rewarding way to give back!

Fire Cadet Camp interviews take place at Parkland, Friday November 21, all day. See Ms. McNamee for scheduled interview time.
