KNITTING FOR THE HOMELESS: Living homeless is a hard reality. Know how to knit, or want to learn? Join us  - Thursdays @ lunch, in RM 212. Help warm the homeless!

CHATTERHIGH COMPETITION : only 4 days left, and Parkland is within 30 points of second place Esquimalt. Yesterday alone we made up 50 points! Staff & students please sign up AND earn BIG points and dollars for Parkland!

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:

The following Soccer players need to return their uniforms to Mr. Sutton immediately:
Jonny Cayou; Simon James; Marcelo Capodarve; Frank Liu; Jason Naden; Juan Pablo Galen del Rio; Darryl Tom; and Yuto Sato.

CONGRATULATIONS TO: Parkland SR boys volleyball team which won Bronze at the Island Volleyball championships. They did this in dramatic form as they lost two sets, then came back to win the next 3 sets to win.  Parkland has earned a berth to the B.C. Championships in Langley. Captain Steve Erhlich, was named to the first all-star team.

The Parkland Senior Boys Volleyball Team are running a Serve-O-Thon to raise some money to go to provincials.  Please sponsor one of our team members to help them at the B.C.'s.

Several post secondary options, including UVIC, Camosun, Thompson Rivers University, VIU, and Canadian Armed Forces will have representatives available at STELLY'S on Monday, November 24, duting Block A, to tell students all about their programs. Please contact Mr. Choo if you are interested in joining a school field trip to Stelly's to discover possibilities for your future after high school.

McGill University will have a recruiter at Parkland on Tuesday, November 25th from 9:30 to 10:30 to meet with students.  Please see Mr. Choo to sign up for an appointment.

NEW YEP RETAIL TRAINING: Sundays x 4, starting December 14, to January 4. Certificate program & training in: cash register, customer service, creating displays, inventory, pricing, opening & closing. See Ms. McNamee to sign up.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Breakfast with Santa (Nov 22), Saanich Hospital Christmas Bazaar (Nov 22),  Christmas Dinner at Shoal Centre (Dec 10), Christmas Village Lions Lunchbox (Dec 5 to 7, & Dec 12 to 14). Exciting chances to help out in the community in Christmas season – see Ms. McNamee as soon as possible to get involved. Volunteer hours can go toward GT credits, a rewarding way to give back!

TEX Trades Exploration Program: students interested in Trades Exploration Program - 5 month program offered by SD63 is a sampler of Welding, Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical.
