Grade 11s: Would you like to go to New York for two weeks this July? Victoria Odd Fellows are accepting applications from students to participate in a speech-off in February. Application deadline is January 31. Please see Ms. Anderson for more info.

INTRAMURAL FINALS:

Congratulations to the Sr. Boys Basketball team on beating Sooke 76-63. With the win, they take over first place in the "AAA" League with 6 wins and 1 loss.Justine Polares scored 14 pts, Nikko Tiemsim put in 15 pts, and Godwin Polares finished with an incredible 29 pts. All the boys should be extremely proud of their defensive effort.

Congratulations to the Jr Boys BBall Team who went "1 and 1" this week with their games: first a solid all-around game Monday, beating Mt. Doug Rams by 20 points. Wednesday at SMU, they fought hard but had a hard time finding the hoop, and lost to the home team Blue Devils. This weekend, Jr Boys head to Courtenay for their last tournament of the year at Vanier School. Good luck gents, bring home some hardware!!

Congratulations to Paarth's team who won the Intramural Tier II Championship over Jonny's team in the final.

Congratulations to Austin's team who won the Tier I Championship over Stevie in the final.

The JR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM won at home Wednesday against St. Michael’s University. FINAL SCORE: 59-21 with Top Scorers: ARI 19 points, SARAH 15 pts & EMMA 12 pts. They now travel to North Vancouver for the Carson Graham Secondary Tournament this weekend. GOOD LUCK TEAM!
Intramural Dodgeball entry forms for JR and SR teams are available in the gym for students who want to play in the league. Get your entry forms in!

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS & COMPETITIONS: see MR. CHOO

Any students of any grade planning to major in Psychology at UVic should speak with Mr. Choo about some little known math requirements.

Any grade 12s planning to apply for the UVic Gustavson School of Business should speak with Mr. Choo immediately about the supplemental application.

$80,000 Schulich scholarship - See Mr. Choo about how to become Parkland's nominee for theSchulich. For students of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Deadline: today Friday, Jan 23rd.

Students related to BCGEU members (BC Government and Service Employees' Union), can apply for a $3000 scholarship for post-secondary full time, and $2000 for part-time studies.  Deadline: Friday, February 27th.  Ask Mr. Choo for details.

Royal Bank  Aboriginal Students scholarships worth up to $4000 per academic year for students that are status, non-status, Inuit or Metis.  Deadline: February 28th. See Mr. Choo.

Grade 12s: any online courses required to complete your grad program must be done by April 15th, 2015. Please meet with Mr. Choo if uncertain of your grad status.

College Pro Painters:Hey there! College Pro is looking for young motivated students who want to gain experience in marketing, and earn money based on work and performance.
6 hours per week minimum; MAY INCLUDE evenings
$15 per lead (Average starting is 1/hour but gets better with practice!)
