A BIG thank you to all of the spirited Panther faithful who came out to support our Senior Boys Basketball Team this past Tuesday night; it was so great to see staff, students, parents and community members alike fill our gym to create a truly electric "white, black, and sky blue" atmosphere!
Our senior boys did not disappoint as they showcased intensity & teamwork throughout the game and eventually downed the visiting Stelly's Stingers 68-35, consequently solidifying first place in their AAA league standings.
As well, our special Grade 5 Basketball guests from Sidney Elementary and Deep Cove Elementary put on a fantastic display of effort & energy at half time, to the point where they literally 'stole the show' by playing their hearts out in front of a raucous crowd and showcasing some impressive moves to say the least!
Special thank you's also go out to our talented Parkland Jazz Band who got things rockin' during warm up and half time, to our own Ms. Lauren Fanelli for doing an amazing job of singing the National Anthem, and to both the Junior Boys and Junior Girls Basketball Teams for getting the gym completely set up and ready to roll prior to the event.
Definitely a successful night all around - WAY TO GO PANTHERS, CONGRATS!!!
