REPORT CARDS were DISTRIBUTED Monday -if you missed TAG, please pick up at break, lunch or after school only.


Reminder to all stagecraft students to meet in the theatre TODAY Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. to remove the set.


All students in Ms. Stinson's Biology 11 class from Semester 1, important aquarium field trip meeting at lunch TUESDAY in room 102.  Students who would like to attend Vancouver Aquarium field trip must attend.


Could all journalism students registered for semester 2 please meet with Mr. Wong for a few minutes at the beginning of lunch at his office?


AFTER SCHOOL JUDO PRACTICE begins Tuesday @ 3:30 p.m. in the mez, and continues Tuesday and Thursday after school for 6 to 8 weeks. Please see Mr. Gogol or Mr. Fitzgerald for further information.

Any boys or girls in grades 9 to 12 are welcome to join the Parkland Ultimate Frisbee Team! No experience necessary! Please come to a meeting Thursday at lunch in room 201 (Ms Wilson's room) on Thursday at lunch to find out more. SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:


Girls Soccer Try-Outs will start Tuesday & Wednesday after school from 3:30 to 5. Please bring runners & cleats. Interested girls in GR 9 to 2 are welcome. See Ms. Dibblee if you want to play and can not make try-outs.


The JR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM ended their amazing season in 2nd place at City Championships. Final 77-59 for Oak Bay. Top Scorers: Arianne (33 points/MVP of the game), Lauren (14 points/Outstanding hustle), and Emma (5 points/Incredible blocks).The whole team played with true grit and made Coaches, Families and Fans extremely proud! The team's GOAL has always been to win Island Championships which is held in Nanaimo later this week. The team is well on their way to reaching their goal with continued Hard work, Determination and the Expert Coaching Staff of Larry and Stasia! Many Thanks to all of their Fundraising Supporters who helped the team raise over $1200.00 at their car wash on Saturday! This will help the Girls get to Provincials.


JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM lost the last game of their season - but had a good year all round. Thanks for representing Parkland so well!


SR Boys Basketball team hosts the South Islands Playoff on Thursday, Feb 19th & Friday, Feb 20th. Please come out and show your school spirit and support the team!


SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM will also host the "AAA" Islands from Thursday, Feb 26th, Friday 27th, and Saturday, Feb 28th. Top three teams from the Island qualify for the Provincials.

Fantastic opportunity for any grade 12s, or grade 11s, wanting admission, program, or scholarship information about University of Victoria. UVic has extended their visit here TODAY TUESDAY Feb 17 to accommodate more appointments, so sign up on Mr. Choo's door to see a UVic advisor on Tuesday.


Students related to BCGEU members can apply for a $3000 scholarship for post-secondary full time, & $2000 for part-time studies.  Deadline: Friday, Feb 27th.  Ask Mr. Choo for details.


Royal Bank Aboriginal Students scholarships worth up to $4000 per academic year for students that are status, non-status, Inuit or Metis.  Deadline: February 28th. See Mr. Choo.


RE/MAX of Western Canada Quest for Excellence is offering 16 $1000 bursaries. The application deadline is March 9th.


Two Dave Gifford Memorial scholarships for athletes are available at $700 each. The application deadline is April 24th.


Two Zone scholarships for BCSS athletes are available at $500 each. The application deadline is April 24th.


The Educational Facility Managers Association of BC is offering 4 $1000 bursaries. The application deadline is April 30th.


LISA (The Lower Island Soccer Association)is offering 4 scholarships at $1000 each. The application deadline is April 30th.


Two Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarships are available at $500. The application deadline is May 1st.


The Rotary clubs of Saskatoon and Rotaract are presenting "Adventures in Technology” which is a tour of Canada's research facilities and finest corporations for students interested in a career in science, engineering or technology. The registration fee is $350 including food and social events, plus travel expenses to and from Saskatoon. The application deadline is May 14th.
