MEETINGS, PRACTICES, announcements, EVENTS:

ONCE UPON A MATTRESS DVD's are now available for sale, $10 each , at front office.

GRAD WEAR FORMS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON GRAD BOARD. DEADLINE FOR ORDERS: APRIL 10, 2015. Get your 2015 grad on!

Grade 10 students who wrote English 10 Provincial exam in February can now check exam results online. If assistance is needed, please see one of the counsellors.

It is Panther Cup time!  This Friday the SENIOR boys hockey academy students take on the teachers at Panorama.  The game goes from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Permission forms available from your D block teachers on Thursday. Signed permission forms allow you to leave class at 1:30 on Friday & board the bus to Panorama.  You will need to find your own way home after the game.  We have ordered three buses to take students to the game.  First come, first served!

Cheer for the PARKLAND Hockey Academy students as they take on the teachers in this year's Panther Cup.SENIORS take to the ice this Friday,  while JUNIORS play Tuesday March 31 @ 3:30 TO 5 P.M..

District of North Saanich celebrates its 50th anniversary in August, & is sponsoring two contests:  Time Capsule & Art in the Park.  If you have an item for the time capsule see Ms. Chicanot--deadline: June 15th. PLEASE SEE POSTERS ON ROLLING BULLETIN BOARDS FOR TIME CAPSULE SPECIFICATIONS. Art in the Park IDEAS deadline: April 25th. See Mr. Gogol for more art in the park info.

LOCAL FUNDRAISER "Bowl for Kids Sake” - Register a team and help Big Brothers Big Sisters raise funds to match children in our community with mentors. April 12 at Miracle Lanes in Sidney. See front foyer announcement board for full details.

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:
Reminder to Sr.  Girls Soccer team: practice Thurs at 3:30 at Blue Heron.

NOTE TO ALL STUDENTS: open gym volleyball this Thursday after school.

STAFF AND STUDENTS: Register as part of the Parkland Pant'ers TC 10K or Half Marathon team. Register online at www.tc10k.ca. Please see Ms. Dibblee for more info. PLEASE NOTE: We need 2 more runners to be official. Students and staff can register online for $25 at  tc10k.ca. The deadline is March 31st.

Congratulations to the Parkland Track and Field Team. - It was a great first meet at UVIC for our athetes!
Jacquelaine Gaby was 1st in the 1500 m race walk...beating the girl and boy competitors by over 200 meters! Ben Sammons was 1st in the 300 meter hurdles.
Tomas Kaluniuk had a Personal Best in the 3000 meters. Sayril Silaya was 1st in Triple Jump. Well Done Panther Athletes!!

We are doing our Parkland Terry Fox Run on April 13th at 9:00 & 2:00. PE classes in A and D block and any other interested students will be able to participate. Two Dave Gifford Memorial scholarships for athletes available, $700 each. Deadline is April 24th.

Two Zone scholarships for BCSS athletes available at $500 each. Application deadline is April 24th.

Educational Facility Managers Association of B.C. offering 4 $1000 bursaries. Deadline is April 30th.

LISA (The Lower Island Soccer Association)has 4 scholarships at $1000 each. Deadline: April 30th.

Two Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarships available at $500. Deadline is May 1st.

Rotary Clubs of Saskatoon and Rotaract present "Adventures in Technology”: a tour of Canada's research facilities & corporations for students interested in science, engineering or technology. Registration fee: $350 including food and social events, plus travel expenses to and from Saskatoon. Application deadline is May 14,.
